I would say test drive as many as you can cope with. An Astra's not that big (although admittedly bigger than a Ka!), but I would rather have anything than a Fiat. Mind you I realise this is a personal prejudice ...

An automatic won't have such good fuel consumption as the equivalent manual model, but it could save your arm.

Also you can (or used to be able to) get a little knob which fixes to the steering wheel to enable you to drive one-handed. I don't know if that would help, or if it would finish off your right arm. And you'd probably have to tell your insurance company that you'd adapted the vehicle (although I wouldn't have thought that would affect your premium!)

Ooh, :T, thankyou, I am getting excited already!. I am looking forward to it, like christmas. People on here have been wonderfully generous, and inspired me to create and get Mooloo's up and running.
I just need to get the twins sorted out. Where are there SWers?, I hope to have an easier week next week, and hopefully I will have a newer, smaller car, that I can handle and save on Fuel costs.
I have told the girlsthat Iwill visit them once a week, and help them on that day only, and that they will have to plan (Well with help), what is needed so that it is done on the one trip!.
Today after the hospital scan for twin2, I am going to sit down with her and her BF and sort out a budget (Again) that I hope will show them how to get a grip. They already had Martins book, :money: So I dont know where that has gone. But I can download a budget sheet, and will also get her to look at her laptop and see if we can do a budget on that. Wonder if that will help them. (i think it will take a lot of attempts before they finally get thier act together though!).
Now I better rush off, I have to get dressed, and clean out the car, before I go and collect my Dad, to come with me to look at the KA etc. As he is paying then I think it only fair that he helps me check on them!.:T

That may be a good idea in the future, but at the moment, i cannot justify spending that amount of money. Will have to sell a few bags, and things, before I can invest in one.
Thankyou though. I will be researching them!.:T

At the moment all your money is needed for day to day living. If you want the voice recognition put it on your 'What I want for Christmas' list, and if all the family have to club together for it, so be it. That's what families do.
.................:)....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

If I actually get any presents from my family it will be a miracle!! Usually only A card. BF is the only one who buys me presents. (My parents buy me things here and there but not usually at Christmas as the deal is only those under 18 get presents as there are so many in the family.!
    But i can wait.
Today Dad came with me, and in the end we changed our minds and have bought a Vauxhall Corsa, (Bit like Biggest of Mooloo's car) except its an automatic. !!Ideal for my arm and leg!. I will get it on Monday.!!!
Thats the ping of the microwave so time to get my dinner. DS is actually at home, and straight up into his room!!
    Catch up later.

Its all down to my Dad for helping me. Thanks to a Tax rebate he had!. 6 years of tax man over charging him. I only got £500 for my people carrier in part exchange, which is just about what I spent fixing it to pass its MOT!. But at least I dont have to find a buyer and everything will be done by Monday. Drive in with one, and out with the other. I cannot thank my parents enough for all the help they hve given me overthe last two years. Just amazing.
Hopefully I will be able to save quite a bit of money (well not save it but use it for living now that funds are going to be reduced over the next few months.). £60 a week on fuel is just not possible to sustain thats for sure.

Well done on the new car - hurrah for Daddy Mooloo !!

A smaller car will make so much difference to you Mooloo and your plan of only going to the girls once a week is a big step to their independence and your sanity!

Glad the sewing is going well !
