Mooloo i wear o foam collar when i am on the computer or knitting etc so that i dont put too much pressure on the neck .......................stops you putting yourself in awkward positions without realising

Not good for full time wear though as makes the muscles lazy..........

Going to try a few wheat bags later from an old pair of pyjama bottoms
i think i will fill with pearl barley(cheaper than rice)

I need some fabric for my bedroom as i am planning on making a quilted throw and matching cushions tempted to make a duvet cover too as i can't find any green(jade) ones ..................ok if you want brown, black or grey ...i never have been trendy.

Well done on being strong with the girls maybe by the time the car is fixed you will be even stronger (look back at some old posts to see how much you have progressed as far as helping them is concerned)

Might sound like an odd question but do you feel like you again yet?

    Shaz

ps saw this and thought of you

    Hi Shaz,
If you cannot find the correct colours have you thought of dying the fabrics.
My girls once wanted Groovy Chick curtains, and I didnt have enough money. so I dyed a piece of fabric the colour pink they liked, used it to sew a panel at the bottom of the curtains, and did some letters in the pink and appliqued them onto the top of the curtains. Loved by all, and the mates too. Funnily enough yesterday I found some of the same pink fabric, in a box brought from the other house.!
No car this weekend either. Believe BF is going to come over and collect me. So this time I am going to put one of the sewing machines in, and tomorrow morning, once I have done my chores, I have decided to cut out a few things to take with me to do. (When BF is doing other things that I cannot help with. )

Re the collar, my mum used to have one, but I never have. My doctor doesnt believe them, and I usually use my neck exercises to ease things. But you may be right, I might need something to support my head when I am working.!

Looked at your Jeans apron, but think i must be too tired tonight, as it didnt make a lot of sense to me. Will have to re read it another time. But may find things of interest on that site at another time. So yet another added to the list to look at.
When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.

Maya this is the bag that I made out of one of your cushion covers and some fabric I had. I have enough to make another one, as well as the table runner.! :T:T:T

They look great Mooloo.Have you heard of Vera Bradley? She is hugely popular in the states and makes a lot of those sorts of bags-if you look at the whole of her site I am sure it will inspire you,but these patchwork ones caught my eye-I am sure you would find an excited market for these sort of things in the UK too

Mooloo, I agree with Shaz, that you are moving on without realising, and also that having no car (therefore a genuine excuse) is helping the girls to stand on their own feet.

Good idea to take some stuff to your BF's - I'm off to DF's Cardiff place tomorrow and will be taking my knitting! He will probably laugh at me, but no PC there to keep me occupied ;)

Hope you have a fab weekend, I will try & catch up next weekend

    Morning,
Well I am a bit achey today. Have had a long warm shower, and dressed, just before the Butcher arrived. So I spent £6.76 on sausages, bacon, chop and two bannana's. First spend I have had this week, (apart from 60p I donated towards the tea on Tuesday at the church drop in).
I have hung out the washing, actually managed to work out how to get the machine to work on the timer, so it was done over night. So that will be a cheaper wash as the cottage has economy 7.
Spending so long on here getting ideas for saving pennies, making things, and being pretty Frugal. Without MSE I don't think i would have survived.
I doubt I would have had the strength to be so strong and to get off of antidepressants.!

Wondering what the postman may bring today, am sure the electric bill should be due now. The rent goes out today, so the bank balance dips to practically nil!.
I must check that the ESA has gone in this week. (It goes into a seperate account to the rent.) Then dont think I have more money then I really do have.).

SusiQ, I am going to have to visit your sites now, and see whats happening.
There is so much out there and my searches are obviously not the best as I dont seem to find the things that others do!. Thank goodness that people are so willing to help me. A huge thanks. The inspiration is definately keeping me positive and busy!

Don't worry about your searches we are all here to help each other and the internet is a big place................i don't use goggle i use virgin for searching not sure it makes a difference but different engines giv different results. I also find blogrolls a good way to find new things ...........if you like their blog you probably like the blogs they like.

Good idea about dying got one last shop to try first.

SuziQ, I have roamed all over the site! Mmm wasn't I supposed to be doing something else???
    Well I am definitely inspired.
I think that I need to really work out what I can make, like making, and what would possibly be a good market for.
Makeup bags etc, I think I need to source some plastic/waterproof fabrics. I have also got a pattern to make babies nappies, washable ones, so the fabric is also needed for them.
But this morning is nearly flown passed and I need to go and gather my things together for taking to BF's.
Be back when I have done something!

You'd get loads of liners out of a cheap textile shower curtain, which would be easier to sew than plastic.
.................:)....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)
