Hello, I did manage to sleep, infact it was 9am before I woke up again!!
I havent been home long. It has been a very long day, and a bit of a detour again for twin1 this time.! To take her to get her self a Crisis loan. Neither of the girls TAX credits were paid. I know they renewed their taxes over the phone, as they did it from my house.?
Firstly I went to Towcester to pick up my best mate, as we had planned a day out together. We went to Stoney Stratford for astroll around the charity shops, and lunch. I was treated to lunch.
But I still could not resist purchasing a few bits in the charity shops. I bought a pair of curtain, childrens curtains, that I am going to use to make the lining for the moses basket we have, ready for twin2's new baby in January.
I will probably be able to make some other bits for a baby out of it too.
I also bought a china bell or 50p, and broke it dropping it, when the handle on the bag broke, as I got to my front door!!
It sort of summed up my aftenoon, as my frin an I were going to take a look at an antique place in Brackley, but twin1 text asking to be taken to get her money, so we ended up doing the food shopping at Mr. T's as I had to stop to get petrol. again...
Thats£60 of petrol since last Friday.
When we got to the twins place, I was at least pleased to see that twin2's place still looked good, but my god, when we got up to twin1's we were horrified at the mess. So all three of them didnt do the room lastnight or today. BUT I DIDNT DO IT. We took her in the car to Banbury for the jobcentre, had to find a certain post office in Banbury this time, and then dropped her back at her place. But I didnt go in, as I was struggling by then. Much more driving then I expected, and I still had to take my friend back to her place and then drive back here!.

There will be no sewing for me today as I can hardly move my left arm now.
I am off to put the heat pads back into the microwave.

I have taken on board all the ideas, and I shall start to create on a more business lke style from tomorrow.

Draught excluders, bags, heat pads, etc. Winter preparations.
When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.

hope you are feeling better , i am having a bad day too the gabapentin just isn't touching the pain and on top of that feel sick too..............................posting is taking my mind off it though and weell done at not giving into tidying the girls rooms again

Any news about the flats for them yet, at least the social worker has seen what happens when the girls are left to their own devices.

Lavender filled door hangers and old fashioned paded coathangers are cheap and easy too. Also fabric headbans are poular too and hardly any fabric in them.

I had a look at your etsy shop well done you can't wait to see it filled :T.....................just one minor suggestion i think you may have been a bit too honest about the source of your fabrics, some people might be put off by the mention of charity shops . I looked around the whole site and people tend to say preloved or recycled rather than second hand . No offence meant:D

Hope you have a good day and get some sewing done

    Morning Shaz,
I must admit to doubling up my gabapentin last night, back up to 4 x 300mg tablets. (Which I know is safe as I used to be on 4 x 3 a day!). So this morning, I am now feeling a lot better then I thought I would be. Sometimes Gabapentin is not really the best pain killer, its usually the Voltarol that is the pain killer.? The doctor had upped my voltarol and reduced my gabapentin when I came off the antidepressants, and that is why I have managed to get more done, and be less "spaced out".
I shall start to look at the fabrics that I have, and see what I can make out of them. The fabric dictates what I make. It may sound daft, but it sort of talks to me, when I see it, and I think, Ah that would make xyz, and or that the fabric is worth alot more than the item they are selling it as.
I will take it on board about my internet sales.
I think the problem in life I have is that I am too honest for my own good.
I shall go back onto the site and do some editing. Perhaps its a good way to learn anyway.
This morning, I am running late, still not dressed. Just had my breakfast sitting in the bedroom watching the TV. DS is actually at home, he and his mate, are mates again, and they are asleep down in the sitting room.
I think that they were up late with the Games consoles etc. I sort of tiptoed around them to make the breakfast. They didnt move!. The TV is also still on, so I think its been on all night!. My electric bill!!!!!!!
At some time today, I have to take J back home, and get the parts for the car, and leave the car with Biggest of Mooloo's BF so that he can do the repairs that are necessary.
So this weekend has not been planned. I wont be able to go to Oxford, to see my BF, and its not his turn to come here.
It will be very strange not having him around or being around him.
I had hoped that when I had told him the car would be off the road this weekend, that he would have suggested either swaping wkends and coming over, or maybe coming and getting me again? But all he said was good luck with the car.
Actually I have been thinking long and hard, and the repairs of the car are going to wipe me out. I am notsure if I can keep it on the road after its been fixed. I certainly wont be using it like I have this week, as the petrol consumption is so high that my reduced funds will just not accommodate the costs. I may have managed to get the road tax for 6 months, and the insurance has been paid for the next year, but I dont think I will be able to save up the funds to re do it next time around, never mind put fuel in it.
It is such a huge gas guzzling car that I no longer need. Asmall diesel car, or and a small automatic one.:rolleyes:wishful thinking.
Right its time I got on and did a few things. 1st up is to look at etsy and see if I can edit things. I also realised that I didnt put the dimensions in.?
When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.

As i understand it the Gabapentin is a neuro-pain blocker and i also take up to 12 a day the diclofenic(voltarol)and other painkillers don't agree with me so i am stuck with Ibuproofen i have some tramadol but that is scary stuff and saved for really bad moments usually at night when pain to much to sleep

Glad ds is home they don't get any better do ........they my eldest is home for 3 weks on leave he has had one meal with us and slept out (or came home late and slept all day) since he came back a week ago! yesterday he came home after bing out 36 hrs had a bath and went out again ..........i wish i had his stamina..lol

Have managed to eat some bread and jam and now off for a sleep have fun with the sewing

forgot to say i picked up a book in a second hand bookshop on hols it 1970's soft toys for kids and theres a sausage dog in it i could copy the pattern and post it if you want ?

theres also a tortoise floor cushion which i think could be aapted to a dinasour and a few other bits ................you just have to see past the fabrics lol

You definitely need a smaller car Mooloo! I have a lovely Vitara 4x4 parked on my drive that I can't afford to use so it's sorn'd. It would easily cost me £50 a week in petrol just for running around! I am very very lucky that my ex bought a KA off his brother for me,it's 10 years old,but my BIL is a mechanic and had kept it in good nick for his son-who had upgraded to a new BMW! The KA is automatic,so light and easy to drive and lasts on a full tank of petril for up to 4 weeks-I can fill it for £33!

Mooloo, you may get a refund on part of your insurance if you decide to get rid before your renewal date....would it be worth a call to the insurance company?

    Hi all,
Car is being worked on, hopefully as we speak.!
When its done I shall either have to only use it once a fortnight, or get rid. (Hopefully to replace it or I would be very isolated in the village.). I came across to Oxford on the bus, from my parents house. Took me nearly 3 hours! Eek, BF is takiing me home on Monday night. So I will catch up properly with everyone then.
Now I am off to sort out rubbish from under the bed etc thats been here since I used to live here, mmm 3 years???

I remember when we finally downsized our car, we did it on finance which I realise isn't an option for you, but I was having a last minute panic about whether we could afford it while DH drove us to pick it up. I'd got all the bills from the last few years ready to hand over, and I idly added up what we'd spent on it in the last 12 months, JUST on repairs. Then I knew we could afford the new car ...

However there was also the cheaper tax, almost double the fuel economy, and a refund on our insurance.

I then began to kick myself for not having done it much much sooner!

But like you I'd hung onto the old one because it was so easy to fit everyone and their luggage into it, even though we only did that once in a blue moon.

If you haven't got a car which will fit two babies and their buggies and their mums and their boyfriends in, then you will simply not be able to run round after them. And remember, this is a GOOD thing. But when you choose to go and see them, it will cost a lot less in a small car. It will be easier to drive so you won't be so worn out by it.

Of course against all that, it's another change, another set of decisions, another 'thing' on your To Do list. So I don't blame you for hanging onto it!

Mooloo, I know you're away, but I just wanted to share - my eldest DS has got a job! After leaving Uni without finishing his degree, he has had 12 months on the dole, he was given a 3-week work trial which ends next Friday and he has been offered the job to start on Spetember 1st! So I am now a very proud (and not quite so worried!) mum :D
