  • Did they ask your permission before they bought a dog into your home? I know for a fact my parents would have hit the roof if I considered doing something like that to them. Not everyone likes footprints & dog hair in their home. You'll have to have a think about how you feel with the possibility of them bringing it to your new home too. You also need to consider your DGG. x

I shall take DS aside when I next see him and tell him its not acceptable. I did tell him before, but I shall have to insist. It will be a problem with my landlord if he finds out. Dispite my going anyway, I dont want to get any extra bills. Also I dont have pet insurance for my accidental damage, etc so there will be trouble if the dog does do anything more.

I am not immpressed to find that when I went in the bathroom someone had been sick. Yes it had been cleared up, but the smell was there. the mat around the loo and a towel were in the washing machine. (so at least they did that) but I am not sure I am too thrilled. Yes its his home too, but I really dont like people being here when I am not. Without prior knowledge.

I just spent about an hour on the internet doing some christmas shopping all for the dam thing to freeze on me and I lost the lot.!
I cannot be bothered to do anymore tonight. I will start again tomorrow.
Twin1 has called to say that she doesnt need a lift tomorrow now, so I have the morning to myself. Perhaps I will venture out? Not sure. May just sit in and sort out my sewing stash! its huge at the moment. I am getting so many sewing ideas, but not the strength or the energy to do it.
Least I am on Stocking no 25 for my advent garland. The end is in sight.

Shall watch Garrows Law and then get some sleep.
Tomorrow is another day, and I can look at things with fresh eyes.
Thank goodness that the depression is back under control to some degree. The sun shining in Oxford today helped. It was gloomy as hell and wet and miserable shopping in town yesterday, and I struggle to shop much at all.
Ideas, best start to put them down on paper before I forget and then they are lost for ever.

Morning, late start to the morning due to an early alarm call at 5am from DGD. She was quite cold even though the radiator is on in her room. (Oil plug in). So she came into my bed. (i know could cause problems later if I do it too often). She kept on waffling for about 45minutes to an hour before I managed to get both of us back to sleep. So we slept until 8.10 then.
I took her to Playgroup, but it was quite late.
I am waiting for Molly to come over for a cuppa and a chat, and I have done a quick swish and swipe around. Still lots to do. Still can smell sick!! EEK I have cleaned the kitchen floor, emptied the bins, and put the loose mats in the washing machine. But I still smell it! I shall have to scrub the carpet in the bathroom when Molly has been. DS should do it, but he is not here!.
I shall put frebreeze on my shoppinglist as well.
Time to put the kettle on, and make the tea.
Maybe sew the little stockings I put loops on last night, now they need sewing onto the ribbon. Fingers crossed it will look ok, then I will need to put something in it. So I will need to go shopping for a few bits and pieces, tomorrow when DGD is in Nursery me things.
My sister is over from France for a few days, and I hope that she will be dropping in on my Mum and Dad at a time that I can go over and see her as well. Its been about 2 years since I saw her I think? Well if it wasnt it feels like it.
The charity will hold my details on record to help me, but they close on the 17th so I will either have to have my wardrobes on the 15th or wait until the new year when they open again! As they had curtains for me, I could do with them early.

    Catch up later.

Just had a lovely natter and a catch up with Molly. Picked up DGD from Nursery. Now trying to make cakes. Without a proper whisk! Eek, bisuits probably be the result.
Part baking some baguettes from the freezer which I had to prize open with a knife to break the frozen edges of it!
Molly brought over a lovely little pink christmas tree and some decorations for DGD and we are going to decorate the front room a bit to feel more festive. We can take it down when we move.

Mooloo are you absolutely certain that the smell is only in the bathroom?
you can use salt in a thick layer on any area of carpet that you want to get rid of smells. Just sweep it up after a while and repeat as often as necessary.

if you have any white vinegar that may help with the smell until you get some febreze (and that DOES work!)

if not, a saucer of brown vinegar just left in bathroom may help if the smell is just lingering?
Signature removed for peace of mind

I have emptied a pot of bicarbonate of soda over the carpet all around the loo. And rubbed it in with a scrubbingbrush. I shall hoover it off in a few minutes. But to be honest I am in so much Pain its the least of my priorities for a little while.
I have been to Towcester to collect DS. He is ill. No surprise to me there then. So he has curled up asleep on the sofa. He said that his mate had been sick, but he didnt know he had missed the loo! ha.

I have once again blown the budget and bought my few bits of shopping in the M & S at the garage. I know not very MSE!!!
Also DGD has a McDonalds as it is next to the garage. I cannnot be bothered to cook tonight. So a ready meal curry for me, and one in the fridge for DS if he does decide he needs some food.
(Not curry, a plain chicken dinner, of the diet variety!).

I shall try the vinegar over night if I have still go a problem with the carpet.

I hope that DGD is good tonight and will go to bed reasonably early tonight so that I can also do the same.
Meanwhile I need to check my Christmas list and makesure I remember what I have ordered on the internet. Howmuch its going to be out of the bank account, and who its for etc. Or I will be double ordering! Such is my memory.!

Lovely to see you and DGD again today. Soon you will be able to buy your bits n' pieces at the local co-op - so dont worry.

We both hunted high n low for the smell as Im pretty good at sniffing out sick too - having got 4 teens. Its a mystery! Have a restful day tomorrow xx
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

    Morning.
DS is not well, again. So we have not rushed to go for the bus. However I still have to get DGD to Nursery in Towcester for 8am and dash to Silverstone for the doctors at 8.20.
Have found its postcode and can now put that in the satNAv, its strange that the appointment is at the satilite surgery and not at the main one? Oh well.

I am just waiting for my toast to pop up. Then I really must get a move on.
Ordered several more of my christmas presents on line last evening. So there are only a few to get now. Like my parents, and the boys,. thats BF's boys as well as my grandchildren! Why are boys always so difficult to get things for?
Then it will just be the silly gifts to get, and the stocking fillers.
I still didnt quite finish my little (9ft long) garland of stockings. There are about 8 more to sew onto the ribbon. But I was twisted with the pains in my arm and spine yesterday. So I am even looking forward to the accupuncture even though I know its agony at the time.
The rest of the week has suddenly been filled with things to do for twin2! Late call yesterday that asked for taxi mum to go to the courts and to social service meetings. She also asked if I wanted the toys that she has at home, as she is finding it too painful now to see the toys at home. That really breaks my heart.

Morning once more. A more relaxed start to the day.
DS is still not well. So no 5.50 start. Twin1 is here, so DGD is now with her sitting in the front room with childrens TV and I am in my room, laptop and a bit of Daybreak.
Twin1 fell on the ice outside my house last night, carrying DGD so it was a hairy moment, and I had to be careful getting them both up. She has hurt her wrist, and I have coldwet compressed it, and have had her keep it up, etc. This morning, she can move her fingers, its not gone black or swollen so I think she has got away with a minor sprain. (But the fuss).
I have a trip to do for twin2 this afternoon to take her to a Social Services meeting. Not sure I will be allowed in on the meeting as I havent been to any for a long time, so I shall take my book and sit outside (well hopefully in reception) and wait.
Twin1 will have been dropped off at her home, and so I am hoping that DS will keep an eye on DGD for me. Tomorrow when its our LAC review, then she will be with my parents.
I ordered DS's sofa, to be delivered on the 21st (sofa bed to replace single bed he has at the moment).
Other then the carpet thats the largest expense left to cover for the move.
I finished my garland at last, before meeting up with my sister at Mum and Dad yesterday afternoon. Was good to see her. Alas she is off again this morning, and down to Dorset to see her grandchildren, and back to France at the weekend I think.
Hoping that I can potter more this morning, and like the rest of the country, just keep warm.
Still nothing from SS about my funding.
