Never thought of that, but alas he does have a key.
I doubt his friends would come to an empty house in a village where there is nothing. We will see though.

Can't you tell him that the landlord of the cottage want all keys back (bar yours) the day you move in to the new house so that he can give them to letting agents to show potential tenants round?

Just checking in. Am off to take DGD to Nursery, then have my accupuncture, (whch I hate). Then off to see this cooker with my Dad.
Twin1 has just rung me to see if DS was going to college. So he has missed the bus. Neither of the numbers I have for his mates are getting me any answers. I think that he is a fool to let that family destroy his career prospects. Made me angry before the day has begun!

Better go or I will be late.

Well I am now the proud owner of a gas cooker! Yipee.
It needs a bit of a clean, but not that bad at all, and just needs a new door catch, which I hhope we can get sorted reasonably easily.
The accupuncture. Dry deep accupuncture, was the most painful ever! I am still in a lot of pain.
I had lunch with my Mum and Dad, then again we went to MK pottering.
Started a bit of christmas shopping, and a few poundshop bits and I treated myself to some new Pjamas.

DS ddnt go to college. Reckons he was sick. (Message in a text).
Twin1 is here. Am worried about her as when I collected her, she was sitting with her coat on, in candle light, and admitted she has no more money untl a week Thursday, and no bus fare to get to college tomorrow. So she is just not coping at all.

    Time to rest up.

Morning All, wishing my week away, so that I can get in and measure up the next house.
So want to sort out the carpeting etc. For at least the Front room and maybe the stairs. As running up and down stairs can be very noisey! Then the bedrooms if I have enough money.
still no response from the SS for the money they are due to refund me.
Biggest of Mooloo had her scan yesterday. cannot remember if I posted that.
All looks fine, and she sent a picture to my Dad's mobile phone of the scan. My phone wouldnt accept it. Grr.
There are more people coming to view the cottage this afternoon. So a quick swish and swipe, and stuff things into cupboards etc due this morning.
Twin1 is here and downstairs having a bit of Mummy time with dGD. Alas DGD was stroppy and horrible to her last night, and only wanted Granny to put her to bed.
She is aware that we are getting a new house. I have been talking about it for a little while now, so that its not a shock for her.
It will be her 6th dwelling too! Bless her.

So its pottering around and tidying etc on the agenda today.

Twin1 has been opening up to me about the money problems that she is in. I am worried, but to be honest not surprised.
due to crisis loans etc she is now only getting £100 a fortnight to live on, and run her little house. Her bank has put on astonishingly high bank charges and left her with no access to her benefits a few times. I am to try and talk to them tomorrow, with her, and see if we can get a cash account for her, and see if we can reduce her charges/get rid of them.
I will also see if we can reduce the amount they want to claw back from her. Currently its £10 every payment she gets from JobSeekers I think.

Today I have tried to deal with the water bills and the tv license. What a farse that was. But I have managed to get her up to date with them, however they accepted "full payment" on my bank card for her TV license, yet would not tell me what amount I have just Paid! So I have to wait till it shows on the bank account! Crazy. I have swapped her waterbill to me, and will put it on a DD from my bank account until she is able to pay it again for her self. (of which I will not hold my breath).
I couldnt leave her sitting around a candle and having no way of cooking her food, heating her water, or her home. I just couldnt. So I also put some electric on her bill. (I have justified that I would have spent even more if I had bought my cooker!).

The Social Worker telephoned me today. finally got back to me. He has said that he was talking to his supervisor, that they have to pay me, but its when and how! But he expects that they will give me a cheque. So Celebrations soon? That will be my carpets sorted if it is. With underlay! I was fearing that I may have had to put newspapers down!

But we are Ok. Infact things are looking much more on track then I had thought. Looks like things are finally going to come together.
Just got to sort the housingbenefits out next. Mine not Twins.

My dinner is in the oven and microwave. DGD is having her spaghetti bolognese again! what a mess she is making! Eek.
She has been a little devil all day today. I shall be glad when she is in bed.

Get Twin1 to open up a new BASIC bank account with another bank not related to the one where she has the OD and then get all her income and DDs transferred to the new account.

This might be useful - http://www.moneymadeclear.org.uk/pdfs/bank_accounts.pdf - on page 5 is a list of all the basic bank accounts on the market and what facilities they have.

Then she can set up a SO to pay off say £2 per month. She should them also avoid charges for payments out of an overdrawn account.

Will be back with a link for this and a link for food banks, as right now she needs one. One organisation here http://www.trusselltrust.org/content/foodbankfranchise/ukfoodbanks.htm

Sounds like things are really difficult for her at moment. Can part of what you have paid for her be her xmas pres? Has she still got a housing support worker?
House looks like it is coming along nicely:D - I have some barbie and other kiddie bedding if you want it, either for DGD bed or to make curtains etc from - let me have your address by PM if you do and I'll post it to you. May have some curtains lurking in the back of airing cupboad as well. I'm away on hol from Fri so won't be able to post it till 29th.

Have you spoke to guardian yet? You need to very soon to sort out some proper xmas contact for you and boys.
Mama read so much about the dangers of drinking alcohol and eating chocolate that she immediately gave up reading.
