Thanks Peppapig!
think I will get some more quotes next week.
Then decide whats best to do.
I will have a go at the cooker/hob myself and then see what is quoted.
I think I will also see about going from room to room and taking a really hard look. See if I can get one of the kids to help me. Then perhaps just having to have the carpets cleaned may not be so bad.
We will see.
The price was just a shoke to me.
DGD is throwing a wobbly at me as I wont let her have sweets!
I am not giving in.
I am trying to poach some fish in milk, for a fish pie. Not much of a fish eater, but I had got it out yesterday to defrost so Ihave to use it up.
Been searching on line to see if I can get the cooker I want anycheaper via quidco etc but not much luck at the moment.
Then the write ups on Comets site were not good. But reading it, I cannot believe someone is moaning that they need oven gloves to open it, and that the shelves cannot be moved once you've put the oven on.! Two points that really are quite trivial, if they have used as many different ovens as I have over the years.
But I will still keep up the research.
I think that cleaning companies are very expensive, wish I was still fit and could do it myself, and set up a cleaning company myself! :rotfl:When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Hire or buy a carpet cleaner and get DS to do it.They are pretty idiot proof and you can supervise while he provides the muscle!
I would not be without my Vax!0 -

I used to have a vax many years ago. Someone borrowed it and broke it.
I will talk to DS about trying to do it. If we have plenty of time at the end of the tenancy we can try, if not ? We may have to give in, but its an awful lot of money.
I just wish I was not so bad that I could have done it.
But I know there is no way, I struggle with the hoover for a start.
I will go and look at the cost of the ones to hire.
Now my tea is ready. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Up here Morrisons and some DIY places have Rug Doctor (i think thats what its called) for hire for about £30 for 24 hours including the shampoo. You can also buy more shampoo if you need it and spot cleaners. So it may be worth looking round there if you have them near you.
I know how much hard work it is making sure the house you leave is spotless at the end of a tenancy in order to get the deposit back- made even harder having toddlers (2 in my case) making the mess.
Topcashback.co.uk is also like quidco but you don't have to pay fees so may be worth having a look on there for good deals, also have you thought of looking on ebay for your oven as some sellers (businesses) sell on there cheaper than high street stores and the products are brand new.Officially BR at 2.10pm on 6th May 2009, ED 7th December 2009

Molly has had to go into hospital this evening, so our prayers are with her tonight. I think that she is going to have to have a blood transfussion.
I will try and keep intouch, and if she has to stay in any longer, then I will arrange to go and see her.
DGD has gone to bed. I have washed up, and now I am going to have a rest.
Have seen the cooker I wanted cheaper on line by £100 from the comet shop yesterday. If I can find someone to fit it, it might be a possibility. Depending on the other costs that I may incurr of course.

She said that the Social Worker had come around to see her yesterday, with the paperwork for the assessments. She said that the guardian had said that If I go and see DGS1 on Tuesday 30th, his birthday, that I will not then be allowed to go on the Thursday which is my usual day.
I have asked for the guardians details to ask why?
I want to give this guardian a piece of my mind, but I suppose that will not help, so I will just hve to be calm and ask why?
Most likely be because they like to keep some time protected for parents only, or it may be the guardian is observing the contact on the Thursday. When you get his details then ask for some contact for you away from the contact centre, if he says no then get twin2's solicitor to pull his finger out and request it through the court.Mama read so much about the dangers of drinking alcohol and eating chocolate that she immediately gave up reading.0 -
Can you ask Mrs Vicar if there is anyone who would be glad to help you with the cleaning? Don't be embarrassed by this: you need help!Signature removed for peace of mind0
