  • Steak and wine plus visit from even a poorly BF sounds like a pretty good birthday to me. Have a lovely day Mooloo.
Eat food, not edible food-like items. Mostly plants.

There are three rates of care component depending on how your disability affects you:
    • the lowest rate, if you need help or supervision for some of the day or you are unable to prepare a cooked main meal
    • you don't need someone to supervise you at all and you can cook without supervision or help

This was all very clear, however I do know someone who gets some DLA because there are times when he is unable to prepared a meal. Different condition, but it seems to me that there are some days when cooking is beyond Mooloo.

    If you have mobility needs
To get the mobility component of Disability Living Allowance, your disability must be severe enough for you to have any of the following walking difficulties, even when wearing or using an aid or equipment you normally use:
    • the effort of walking could threaten your life or seriously affect your health
    • doesn't apply to you

I thought there were distance conditions too - is that just for Blue Badge?

It's a bit catch 22 with many authorities - they won't issue a Blue Badge unless someone is on DLA.

.................:)....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

That does vary from one authority to the other: my parents recently got one each without being on DLA.

I was going to delete mine, but as someone else has referred to it, it won't make sense if I do, so I will leave mine ...

I have times when I cannot do anything at all. From walking across the bedroom, or putting the kettle on!. But its not everyday. (Thank goodness).
I will just have to continue trying, and when things are worse remember to make a note of it, and use a record to help me in future.

Yesterday was a nice and quiet day. BF brought me a sat Nav. So we went for alittle drive around to check it out. The steak was a bit tough, (it was awhoopsie that I had in the freezer.) Infact dinner was done all on the cheap. I realised that everything I got out to use had a whoopsie sticker on it!).
Mr T basic wine, went down well.
We had a lazy morning and I did us a cooked breakfast too. (Well late breakfast early lunch). Then a stroll around a few charity shops in Brackley before he went home. He really wasnt very well, full of coughs and splutters.
He also brought me a lavander bush which we have put by the back door.
I just hope that some how I manageto keep a car on the road so I get the use of the Sat Nav longer then the next month!!

Yes BF bought me the Sat Nav, it was a total surprise! He arrived coughing and spluttering, I did look afterhim, and pass the tissues, and even gave him my packet of Soothers!. Cooked his meal, gave him a massage, and even a cooked breakfast this morning. He just helped when needed. (Lifting). So I did my best to take care of him. And it was my birthday.

Think I better raid the fridge for something to have for my tea. Its going to have to be something easy as I am sore today. (just started on my reduced medication this week, and I am feeling it in my neck at the moment.). May need to lie down and take the weight of my head off of my neck, if you know what I mean!.
