Hi, I have ordered a Burda pattern off of the internet. That has cummerbands as well.
Spent the afternoon sorting out my old stockings/pop socks, and pairing up those that I could (dont ask), then I cut up all the old, odd ones and used them to stuff a draught excluder that I have made out of two sleeves sewn together. So one draught tackled. But am now suffering from using my arm far too much. I am off for a soak in the tub.

Well the email this morning tells me that the pattern is currently out of stock, and they wont have it for another 5 to 7 days, so I will cancel and use the pattern that I need to stick together and use.
I have done some early washing (for me, 6.30) and already made some crunchy breakfast bars, and a jelly.
DS has also got work for the rest of the week so made sure he was up and gone.
The mince dinner from Tuesday was turned into a chilli with some powder and kidneybeans. Both of us had some, and the rest was frozen.
Time to go and get dressed so I can pick up the windfall apples.
Now I need a recipe to use up "crab apples" as my mum used to call smll apples that are not very edible!

Been in demand today. Kids on the phone, neices, etc etc. Loads of emails. The day as gone so fast.
I am trying to do too many things at once today.
Cuppa soup, and toast for my lunch. Quick, easy and warm.
Head full of sewing.
I am going back into the dining room to see if I can draft upthis pattern I have down loaded. Make it in some old similar fabric if I can before I make any real ones.

Well I made a prototype cravat. Noticed that there is a design fault, so I have drawn out another pattern, and I will make another prototype tomorrow.
Twin2 has been on the phone several times today. Twin1 went out last night with that friend who I do not like, (twin2 was hanging around with her when we lived in the old house, and when I was having lots of trouble with twin2), now twin1 stayed out all night, leaving twin2's BF to babysit.
SHE STILL IS NOT BACK. She has no money to get back on her own, and the only lift she can get back today is 11pm TONIGHT !!!!!!!
I cannot believe that, a) she went with the same girl
b) she didnt come home
c) she didnt have any emergency money to get her self back
d) that she could leave her little girl with twin2's BF when she complaind about him not so long ago,!??????????????????/

I didnt know what twin2 expected me to do, when I have told them that my car is not drivable at the moment!!

Maybe this is a blessing in disguise as you will no longer be at their beck and call so they will have to learn how to deal with problems on their own :A

Running late today. Woke once in the night, not long after I had gone to bed. So I put the washing machine on, then went back to sleep, and slept until10am!!!!
Spent the next two hours on here trying to sort out my emails, etc etc.
I havent heard from any of the children today, so I pressume all is now sorted out at thier end!. I am not going to ring to ask, just incase.
Lets hope that things are going to be easier soon!.
Am missing the car, and being able to just pop out. But as mentioned its a good thing it was off the road yesterday or I would have been out of pocket with the petrol too. Actually I couldnt have done it as the fuel light had just come on the day I got back, and until ESA sort out what they have done with my money, I havent any. Dont think £1.22 would be much fuel in my people carrier!!

This afternoon I have been sewing.
I finished the Retro Print cushions from yesterday evening, and I also finished making a little summer dress for my grand-daughter. Although I didnt make another Cravat. Basically I have felt out of sorts today. Obviously did far too much over the last couple of days.
DS has not come home, or been in touch. Infact I havent heard from anyone of the children today.
Had a couple of emails between BF and myself, and a text from my best friend, so I havent spoken to anyone since 9.30 last night.!! Very strange in my world.
I am just beginning to realise how lonely life could be.
Luckily I have here to communicate, and things to do, to try to keep my brain active.
Trying to think what could make next with what I have here, without spending anymoney on anything!.
Possibly a shirt for my Grandson, but I don't have many buttons. Button box has been gone along time ago. Think I may have to recycle some off of something that is either too small/stained.
Will flick through some of my old magazines for a pattern to trace. But I will have an early night tonight as I am tired.

Mooloo, do you have jumble sales in your village? You may pick somethings up there that you could either alter, or use the fabric to make new things with, or even just salvage buttons from

What sort of shirt would you make? Can you do collars & cuffed sleeves? I am very impressed if you can! I never got past basic skirts & an an apron (and that took me 2 terms!) at sewing, although I can make curtains :T
