I have just been going through my wardrobe and putting together my "capsule wardrobe" for the holiday. Funnily enough, having written it down and doing it in my mind, and on paper, when I put the things all together on the bed it doesnt look much, compared to what I normally pack! I hope I havent cut things down too much! Mind you as long as I have enough clean undies I should be fine!.When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0

Lots of info on what to see, do, where to eat etc in Prague from people who've been there here http://www.ivebeenthere.co.uk/places/czech-republic/prague/index.jsp
I'm sure you'll leave DS a list of do's and dont's. If you're leaving your car at yours you might want to think about hiding the keys. Teenagers and their mates can sometimes get a bit carried away.
Enjoy your holiday.....................I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

My car will be in Oxford, as I will be driving over to BF's on Wednesday evening, and leaving it on his drive. We will go to Birmingham in his car as its more comfortable and cost efficient then mine!
I think i better ask Biggest of Mooloo's to keep an eye on DS. At least on the Sunday before I come back on Monday. So he can tidy up any evidence of mess !!:DWhen I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Have a great time Mooloo and i want to know everything
it is my big 40 this year and i have asked hubby to take me to prague or bruges for a child free break
I was thinking of you last night .....i made a couple of re usable bags from some calico and an old floral fabric belt..............................was thinking if you could make enough up you could sell to local businesses (small independants ) and customise them to have their logo on (you could use t shirt paper to transfer pictures etc) and they could sell them to their customers ......shouldn't be too expensive to make the piece of calico i bought was £3 and would make about 12 i think i am going to make some more and try to sell/give as gifts to friends and family.
What do you think?

ITs worth a thought, however I would prefer to make bags that are sort of one offs, so that I can get a bit of a better price for them. Local businesses are more likely to want them for peanuts.
I am planning on setting aside part of each day to sew, when I get back.
I shall tell you all about it, as soon as I get back.
I am going to Oxford tomorrow evening, then we are going on a well know Irish plane from Birmingham on Thursday. Back on Monday.
So Tuesday will be most likely for me to log on.
I am getting quite excited now.
I spent all of today helping twin2 to deal with the job centre. They still have not sorted out her claim from joining with BF. This means they keep getting Crisis Loans. We went to get that this morning, first thing. When she got there, they kept her(and me in the carpark) waiting over an hour. To then not issue it as it was in the BF's name not hers. So we had to go back to get him to authorise her picking it up by a letter. Only to get the 10 miles back to get a message saying that they had re issued it in her name, and to collect it at 2.30. We got there at two, as there was rumour of traffic problems (agoing the other way in the end), and we were kept waiting there again, until 4pm. Then we had to find the post office in Banbury, cash it, and get her to Tesco for the food shopping!. I didnt get home until about an hour ago. I am exhausted, in pain, and I was hungry as I didnt have anyfood since 7.30 last night. Or any tablets since bed time, as they make me drowsy, and I needed to drive. I have taken them now, had a jacket potatoe as it was quickest to do. and am waiting for it all to take effect.
Meanwhile I have the washing machine on, as they had 3 pillowslips full of the stuff, and the woman that was supposed to be in the office till 1pm, (where they get the tokens for washingmachines) had left at 5 to 12!.
I also spent the interviening time cleaning up, reading the riot act and making them hang the curtains properly and take rubbish out to the bin etc etc.
I was dismayed and disgusted with the mess. I cant even begin to describe the state of the cupboard under the sink!. Needless to say I was glad I hadnt eaten anything as there were maggots too!.Ugh, Ugh, and double ugh!!
I didnt get a chance to go and see twin1, as I had to get home. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

HI all, well I am back. This is the first time I have managed to get on to the computer. DS and Twin2's BF were on it yesterday.
We had a wonderful break in Prague. I am hoping that I will get a look at some of the photos that BF took, where ever we went.
I have never seen so many beautiful, huge buildings!. Towers and churches etc.
The people dont seem to have houses its all high rise blocks. So I wouldnt want to live there.
The city is beautiful. The pavements are all small cobbles, and so are most of the roads! The tram service is brilliant. We hardly had to wait for anything. With the research of where we wanted to go, and a copy of the metro/tram lines meant that we arrived at our destination easily, no hassles, no arguements and we had a reasonably good hotel to boot.! The only thing that I was not thrilled at was that the air conditioning was noisy and it didnt really work properly so we were rather hot. Couldnt leave the window open as the trams rattling by every ten minutes or so was too noisy for me to sleep. apart from that I would recommend Prague to anyone who loves architecture, rivers, scenery.
I did the Tower. They have a mini "eifel" tower, and I went up the 299 steps to the top, and managed to look out over the town. For me that was an amazing mile stone. (Lucking there are resting points on the way up!). My fear of heights is controlable now. Yipee.
Unfortunately while I was away, Twin1's BF has had a change of heart and broken off the engagement. She is heartbroken, as she was already low having just had a misscarriage the week before.
Her place was a mess, although I didnt come accross mouldy food or maggots, I have found my self bringing home several Mountains of clothing/bedding etc to wash. It doesnt look like she has washed anything much for the whole time she has been there. It is going to take me about 12 washing machine loads to get it up to date. I helped her re arrange the room, and tried very hard to be positive with her. I spent all day yesterday, helping her tidy up.
I wish they would keep the places tidy, and they are only in one room, they need to be tidy, and clean!. Of course doing that all when I got back, means that today I am tired, and sore. I slept like a log lastnight.!
Twin2's benefits should have been in the bank today, but they werent so it was another trip to the jobcentre while in town today. (I had to go anyway to bank my housing benefit cheque).
I ended up spending £25 on shopping for them, on basics, bread, milk, beans, soup, ham, cheese and sauce mixes, and some reduced chicken pieces and burgers.!
Money seems to be a problem all around still!. The system is just ****.
DS had another interview at DAF yesterday afternoon. He will know on Friday if he has the apprenticeship or not. If he has it, he will start on Monday.
The wages are not brilliant, at £3 an hour, as he is only 16. But apparantly it will go up by £1 a year. I think he meant a £ an hour each year, not just a £!!!
My fingers are crossed for him. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0
