jha, have you got a special gadget to make the paper logs with. I tried to use an old baking tin (loaf tin), but of course it would need holes punched in it to work properly. But my BF doesnt think I would be able to make them (lack of strength) witht he gadget he once saw? What do you think?

Gosh so many of them! Right I was going to have a no spend day, but as I already broke that and picked up 6 sausages from the butcher van, I think I will get one ordered, and then I will be able to start making it. I have masses of normal paperwork tht could be recycled, as I have always kept too much paperwork, (so much so that I can never find it where I want it!! mmmm:rolleyes:).

I cant make my mind up whether I should get a Brick shaped one, or a pipe one!! So perhaps I better research a bit longer? But I will definitely get one ASAP.

I have just managed to find my old Yahoo account. what an effort that was. Only 71,000 odd emails! So I started deleting them, but I really cannot be bothered. I have gone back to the system and asked not to be emailed. Lets hope.
Someone on the Northampton one is looking for an ivory veil, which I actually have, (one I made earlier, would you believe!) So I have sent an email.
I have also asked if anyone has one of these log makers. You never know what is out there.

  • Well I've finally found your new thread:D Just as you were finishing your old thread I was moving. It's a crying shame the twins are still not getting the support they need - that was the point of them moving.

Ring social services and demand to speak to senior social worker. The lack of support is putting the twins and their children at risk. It sounds as if they are being shunted to one side.

The girls dont seem to be getting any support, and the people that are supposed to be in the office twice a week, have now closed down as well. They have to buy tokens to use the washing machines, and they have to get them from these people, now 13 or so miles away in Towcester

I thaught there must have been a reason - sorry. i keep thinking of a perfect world with full social services support and laundrettes :o. I would certinally report the fact that they have no way to launder their clothes.

I lost a baby in 2000 and i can sympathise - it is horrible.

re paper bricks - i got the brick one on errata's link. you do need some force to squeeze the brick but i can do it whilst pregnant. i do wish i could lend you mine so you could have a go to see if you could do it. :D

you could always make tennis ball sized ones without the brick maker if you are ok with squeezing them into shape. there are a few therads on here about making them somewhere.

Unfortunately I am not able to squeeze things by hand. Have already got a gadget to help me open jars etc, if DS is not around.!
I am not strong on the left hand side, (My leading arm), I cannot even lift a 4pt of milk without trouble. Well not sure i could even lift one now, as I dont tend to try anymore.
I will have to seek out the paperwork, and go back to the beginning with the Social Services, as they seem to have slipt through the net again!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    What can I say.
If they arent getting their money, how can they get a bus to get the tokens.? The bus is only one every two hours, and is about £12. Valuable money that they dont have spare? I am beginning to think that its a total disgrace. It makes me so mad.
I just wish I was well enough to rally around and fight for the causes so to speak.
At the moment my little voice seems to have gone unheard.
Back to the complaints committee I suppose. Although my original complaints statute days has run out. (While we were all looking for homes etc in May time).
But I can complain about the current situation as thats a new department.
    Life hey!!
Well the landlord has just given me a tin of something to use to get rid of the woodworm in the bathroom. So no excuse not to finish all the washing and get it out of the way. I may need to call for help, as briefly reading it, I may have to lift the flooring inthere as well. MMmm.

Welcome back Frostyfreckle. Hope the move went better then my one did!!
My first two months here have flown by. I feel as if I have been riding a rollercoaster for too many years now!
I am taking a back seat this weekend. I have no plans to go anywhere, and to just sort this cottage out, so that I can finally feel totally at home.
BF will come over to see me on Wednesday for my birthday. Not sure what we will do that evening, but time will tell. As long as I get to see hi:Dm.
