Hello, I am back.
Its been a day as I expected.
The meeting was long, and stressful. Unfortunately the BF of twin2 is not allowed back into the family home, and the protection order has been put in place. Nothing unexpected to me, but both them were in shock.
So this has made the BF homeless!.
We went to the housing on the way home, and tried to get him seen, but they said that he has to battle for himself and "sofa surf" for a while. But he also needs to change the benefits, as he is no longer living with twin2, so needs his own money.
They did ask me about whether my support was still there, and I said it depended on what they were expecting of me. As DGD was only supposed to be with me for 3 weeks, etc etc etc.
I told them that I was not able, or prepared to take the children on in that way. But they are expecting me to give Daily visits. I said that I cannot afford to do that, as I dont get any funding, and live off of my ESA. the Chairwoman did say that she would look into why didnt get kinship? But I will put a letter in writing to her, and ask her what she is going to do, and get it in writing.
I told her I had lost faith in Social Services.
There were a lot of issues that were allegations from residents in the hostel. And unauthorised photographs etc so I will be seeing if we can get the police to investigate how these annonymous people were able to take photographs of the children.
Anyway, its an awful result, and they are devistated;. To top it all, the house that they were nominated for is not available anymore, and so there has to be yet another wait for a home for them. I was not happy.
There is to be a meeting with English Churches on the 29th March for Twin1. So that is only days before she is to loose her tenancy in the mother and baby unit. Its gettting scarily close at the moment.
I am as expected, tired, sore and can hardly move at the moment. My neck and back are "on fire" with the pain. So its time for me to rest.
unfortunately while twin1 has been her with DGD she has allowed a lot of mess to be made, and coming home to a tip did not help.
Tomorrow there is still a lot to do, and I am not out of the woods yet. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Aww Mooloo, what a shower of bl00dy pests. (SS not your kids)! Hopefully though the Chairperson will be helpful, and get you sorted financially for now, that would be a good outcome. As for the BF, this might be a bit leftfield, but can he not live with you for the moment, this might help with your rent situation if he can get some lodger housing benefit, and have supervised access to the family in your home? I know you don't want to take them all on, but if he can do all your wood chopping etc., and maybe help you out in the garden and what - not, it might do for a wee while? Obviously only you know if you could live with him, but you don't sound as if you think too badly of him, do you think it might work for a wee while, and is it do-able with the protection order in place?

Good idea Jackie. It would help to relieve some of the financial burden on mooloo.0

I find it unbelievable that they are only now mentioning funding because you cant afford to do their job :mad::mad: typical!
Take care mooloo and try and rest that kneck!
When are they going to get it into their heads that you are neither superwoman or wealthy enough to support 4 familys...twin1 & dgd, twin2 and dgs's, yourself and the change of care for dgd to biggest of mooloo too?
Maybe they think you are one of a set of identical quads :rotfl:

well I think I should have been awarded Mum of the Year, but someone beat me to it! (joke).
No I could not live with him here. He is stopping tonight, we are trying to get him fixedup with a friend. He has somewhere to go to tomorrow now and a job interview in Northampton on Tuesday. He is hoping that he may be able to stay with his uncle for a while, but I am not sure if thats possible. But for him I hope so.
I want to do my sewing and make a small business up. That way I could possibly earn enough to stay here. Also there may be a way of getting the housng benefit if I am to be having care of the grandchildren, on a regular basis. for example if I had them/ one or all at a stage, for a weekend, etc or an in part of the care plan, then I will need housing for them. Its something that we will be exploring next. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Please resist the idea of daily visits (the word is NO!) It's absolutely not fair on you. and what are you supposed to do if you find something which concerns you, given that the SWs are never at the end of the phone? And how are you supposed to know what SHOULD concern you?Signature removed for peace of mind0

I agree with Sue, it seems to me that if daily visits are deemed necessary they need to be done by professionals..................
....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

Mooloo, it occurs to me that the Protection order against BF might be interpreted by SS as applying to both your DGD as well as DGS .....:(
And how on earth are you expected to carry out daily inspections (!) when you have hospital/physio appointments for your own health???? SS would not be able to insist upon their own staff working/carrying out daily visits if they were unwell - yet you are expected to????? This needs to be put in writing by SS!0 -

And the financial support to be able to do so.....my council pay 40p per mile...0
