It's a great shame about the twins but sometimes you just can't help people who aren't willing to help themselves. Obviously this is more difficult as you are their mother but they are adults and need to learn to stand on their own two feet without being able to run back to you all of the time.
Problem is they may be Adults by Chronilogical dates. However due to learning difficulties, they are mere teenagers. That is the problem. Last assessment was around the age of 13! About 18 months ago!. so they have a long way to go before they are adults, if they can continue to improve.
But I get what you mean. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Evening,
Well I am getting overly tired now.
Have filled in the child benefit and the tax credit forms, ready to post in the morning. Have decided that if Twin1 has still continued to claim then its her fault. She has been warned to stop it.
I am too tired now to start cutting out a bag. Pitty but I am not going to push myself today.
Hoping to meet up with Molly41 tomorrow.
Going to have a warm drink, and watch Secret Millionnaire, then bed.
Hopefully I will find some peace soon. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Morning,
Just had breakfast. DGD is playing with some toys on the floor, after playing with all my potatoes first!
Going to meet up with someone off of MSE tomorrow, who wants me to teach them to sew, using a new sewing machine. Going to go and have a chat and see what it is that is wanted. Then I hope to start to do sewing lessons more often.
I know that its taking on something else in my hectic world. But its for ME and not for anyone else this time.
Eventually I will be on my own again, and so will have time to do these kind of things. So a little practise seems to be a good idea to me.
Today is the village coffee morning, so Molly41 and I are going along to that, with DGD, before I go on to collect Twin1 for the next couple of days. She is going to be dropped off at one of her friends in Towcester, and free me up for a couple of hours early this afternoon.
Have taken some casserole beef out of the freezer, forgot to do that last night, and will now have to use the pressure cooker tonight, instead of the slow cooker.
The weather is promised, but its still trying to break through the clouds at the moment.
Time I got some washing on, and go and get dressed! Have been awake since 6.15 and yet still not moving very fast.
Should hopefully get some news today about twin1's future accommodation. The housing officer is in a meeting with the English Churches that run the project in Towcester. So fingers crossed we have a place for her soon.
twin2 is to talk to the other housing department for South Northants homes, who have been given her nomination for a house in one of the vilages near by.
Lets hope we get some good replies from these things this time. I am fed up of failures all along the chain.
Time is running out for twin1, and twin2 really needs to be in more than one room with two kids.
Right positive head on, Moo, and get going. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
I hope that you had a lovely day Mooloo!0

Had a few rushing around moments. But I am just about on target for the Day. Tomorrows plans are messed up a bit, but hopefully I can sort things out, to help me too.
Just cooking tea, and twin1 has taken over, so I came to check my email, had a Pm so thought I better answer that.
Try and get on later, but its usually a scrabble for facebook with the others around. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Morning, busy day ahead with twins etc today, but about to start the day meeting with a prospective sewing pupil. Not sure what is needed so having an initial meeting to discuss things and see what level of sewing he already has. Then will see if we can tailor lessons to suit.? Scared, and nervous. Especially as its a man, so probably be difficult finding easy projects to start, unless he is into soft furnishings.
Will have to have a good scoure of my old sewing burda's etc and see if there are things that may be inspiring for him. He didnt sound like he was a fashionista? A father with time on his hands is how he described himself!.
Right I better go for my shower, or I will be late.
This afternoon I am taking Twin2 to Banbury, as the hole in the wall swallowed her bank card yesterday, and she needs to pay her TV license etc.
Twin1 is here with Twin2's BF and they will keep an eye on DGD today.
Still waiting to hear from the housing officers for the girls. time is getting short for twin1.
Benefits forms were posted off yesterday, and she cancelled her claim too. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

Mooloo, I do hope you're taking all the precautions of keeping yourself safe if you're meeting a strange man you only know online!!!!
Please don't go to a stranger's house alone. Are you meeting him in a public area?“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -

Take care Mooloo.0 -
I agree with you all that meeting a stranger in his own home may not be the cautious approach. Let me please, therefore, reassure you all that my intentions are simple, that is to learn how to sew. It is good to see that Mooloo has friends that care for her on this forum.0

Hello, I see my pupil has posted.!
I did have a back up. Promise. Had given out where I was going to be, had Molly41 in touch, and was fine.
Actually realised that the ideas that I have for sewing lessons etc in the future are going to be possible, and after talking, and brief demonstrations, I think we can achieve a good outcome.
The rest of the day was drawn out, and stressful, but thats normal.
I am off to bed, as I am exhausted. My left arm is hardly moving at all now, and if i dont lie flat soon, I think I may explode! My head feels too heavy for my neck.
Big Social meeting tomorrow, meant the man came around with his reports, spent hours pouring over them this evening and making notes for tomorrow.
the biggest being the phrases
"The family will need the continued support of their Maternal grandmother (me).
and further down
"a further contingency should aslo be discussed, exploring the ptential for longer term care from the maternal grandmother" i.e. ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am not happy about that.
He asked me how long I was going to be having DGD and I said how long does it take for the courts etc to sort things out, around 4 months, and he said about that! So now I have read his report I can see what he is thinking, and its NO NO NO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO/!!!!When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0
