Good news that you & DS have reached an agreement Mooloo.

Also fingers crossed that your grant application is successful.

Finally, let me know if I can help in anyway with your letters - did you see the email I sent to you yesterday?

    Best wishes,

Not sure about email, just off to check that one.! got the names of the local MPs biggest of Mooloo emailed them to me this morning. Will be checking up on the days and dates of when things happened in my diary. (Or on here!) and get my letters started next time I am on the computer at home.
Currently in Oxford at BF.s. His daughter has just taken DGD swimming for the first time, and they are due back any minute now. Hope they enjoyed it. My BF bought her the costume and armbands when we went into town this morning. So am beginning to feel lucky again.

  • Awww that's lovely of your bf and your bf's daughter. Sounds like everyone is working hard to get along.

We are back home in the village. Got so much housework to catch up on. Things slipped a bit last week, and having been away for a few days there is lots of washing to catch up on too!.
Draught letters have been sent to me by the Family Rights Group. and they are going to check over what have done, before I send it.
Lets hope things are starting to move for us.
Another 3 weeks or so to go before we know whats going to happen.
DGD loved the swimming, so I will have to try to save some funds for taking her more often. Better dig out a costume for me from the back of the drawers!
(Better work on my tummy exercises now as well!!).

DS came back with me, and is going to stop for the next couple of weeks until we know whats happening with DGD. Lets hope we can work things out I really dont want him to leave.
Back again this evening. Better get some work done.

My DD1 had that happen but once she found the paperwork nothing else happened. Some just have to try it on.

    Hi Mooloo.

Have been away from our thread for a good while. 20 week old baby boy, keeps me away from the computer. I have gauged that you are now caring for your grand-daughter though and I wish you all the luck with that and with getting some kind of money for her.

I am posting because i have thought of two baby items you may possibly be able to make / sew. (If you ever get the time again, that is)

One are bandana bibs, and the other are taggies. You can google both, or search on ebay. The taggies would be good for using up old bits of material, fleece and ribbons etc. This may even inspire you again. Hopefully. If not take care, with looking after yourself and DGD.

I will have a google. Was just saying if only I had the energy to sew, I could make the difference in the rent that DS moving out would make in the housing benefit.!On ESA I am allowed to earn up to £92 a week, for upto a year, and still claim the benefit. So it could be a big help to me. If only I was not so worn out.
Hope the new baby is well, and that you get some sleep!
New Grandson is 8 days old now.

  • Hi Mooloo

Just a couple of things which jumped out at me.

The debt you are being chased for, you will not be on the Insolvency Register once you have been discharged. I think you are deleted after 3 months. However the creditor can search the London Gazette website as this has a search function so you can search anyone who has been bankrupt.

Secondly although you can earn up to £92 whilst receiving ESA please note that any extra income will be taken into account for HB purposes so for every £1.00 you earn, 65p will have to go to your rent and 20p to your Council Tax. So you will only see 15p in every pound.
I don't want to put you off but want to make sure you aren't working for nothing.

I have been searching for my copy of the bankruptcy order, but cannot find it. I even quoted the number and date etc, because I knew it off by heart!. But I have been told I have to prove it.! so I will ring the insolvency agency tomorrow, and ask them for a copy. If thats possible. Or a letter to say that I am.

Re earning the money. No I didnt know the actually amounts I would be earning. Not good. Not worth it really is it.
If I want to make up the short fall in the rent of £23 a week, then thats meaning I would need to earn £153!!!! Thats just a pointless exercise then isnt it really.?

I have spent the evening on the internet and been looking at the cost of renting other properties in the area, but they are just not available at the moment. I am rather deflated about it all. I dont want to have to move, but I cannot find the funds out of the meagre benefits that I am on.

The only places that are within the council benefit, are shared houses aimed at students. I think I would rather die then live in a shared house or flat.
I see myself slowly shrivelling away, in squallor!
I have to change that image in my mind. I know that I am unwell, but surely I should not have to continue to move, down grade again and again.
There are no council homes, and there are no private rented ones.
I just want to stay here, where I am happy. (Well could be if the family were not causing me so much stress!.)

Right well, I think that I want a cup of tea, and then think of something good to go to sleep with. (I know some people say the caffine in the tea will keep me awake, but the nightmares of the possible future if DS leaves, is just horrific to me. sorry anyone who is reading this who is stuck in a shared house at a similar age to me!):(
