I have telephoned the Social Services department and asked to speak to the Team Head, but she was on the telephone. I have asked her to ring me back.
So I am waiting for telephone calls.
Tried to copy and paste some information into my letter, and have got a university logo stuck in the middle of it that I cannot delete? So am frustrated.
DGD has been a bit unruley this morning, and despite an early night last night, I am exhausted. So I am trying to relax.
DS has helped me with the woodburner, and finally we are getting some heat out of it. I have cleared the floor of the babies toys. (for now) while I have put her down to sleep. I am hoping that she will, but she is at that age where she is not always sleeping in the day.
I am going to see if I can just get comfortable infront of the fire, turn the TV down low, and maybe nod off? I hope so. My sciatica is playing up, and my neck is not so brilliant either. Heat pads to the ready.
Lovely warm feet though, thanks to Floss!

Have managed to get the information from Npower to put my payments onto a standing order. Then I dont have to try to get to a payment shop which lately has been difficult to get around to. Payments now will go out on my benefit day. Hopefully that will stop the messing around, and the number of plastic cards they keep sending me!. And I will hopefully see the debt getting reduced on time.
I can always make additional payments if I ever get any more funds of course!
Still not had a call back from the Social Services.

DGD is still asleep. So she was very tired. Should be waking her soon, but must admit am savouring the peace.

Biggest of Mooloo has confirmed that she is coming to tea tonight. Basic mince and potatoes probably. As its easy.

Had to throw out a soup basic, as I had not got around to freezing it. what a waste. I really am off the ball at the moment.

I have had a return call from a different Social Worker, who has informed me basically, I am NOT ENTITLED TO FUNDING, that the money my Daughter hands over is it. I have repeated all my questions, doubts, and angsts. He has told me to give it a week or so, for him to investigate, and see what has happened. Etc etc.
    A fob off.
I have told him I want all of the information in Writing. The reasons why and wherefore.
I have explained my situation, and the fact that it is a struggle, but I am trying to do my best. All he wanted to know was if I can continue to look after DGD.
I wanted to say No, I cant. But then that would not really give us the best outcome as DGD would then end up in a strangers home.
I really am warn out with expressing my problems. I have told him I will be complaining in writing, and I will go to my local MP and higher if I have to.
I also said that I am not normally a complaining nuesance, but in this case it is important that we do not sink down into the traps of poverty anymore then we are!.
We are obviously expected to live on thin air. And run on empty energy. Exhaustion is not allowed. Respite help is not available.
Sorry to those who have tried to help me, but its all going around and around in circles.
Now I need to go and start to cook our evening meal.
I think that I will have to push all of this stuff to the back of my mind. Feel as if its becoming an obsession to get justice.!
Its taking up all my energy, and its not fair on DGD.
Twin2 seems to be coping at the moment, evena though her chap has been away all day, auditioning to be a Haven Rep of all things!

have spent about 2 hours now just looking at MSE threads and copying and pasting recipes and menu plans etc etc etc. Trying to get inspiration.
Have been a bit naughty and ordered from MrAppFoods, £27.86 As the snack type foods are very low in the house, and it will boost the soup mixes etc etc.
Handy when I am tired. (for me).
Biggest of Mooloo came for tea. We had mince and potatoes with carrots. And a handful of peas in the mince.
She helped DGD to have her dinner, and then she gave her her bath.
Which gave me a well needed rest.
Having problems with my hands cracking/splitting, especially the pads of my thumbs and its agony. Need to find out whats causing it. Already use rubber gloves when I am washing up, as I had Fairy liquid and i am usually reactive to that.? But dispite the gloves somethings up.? Time to dig out some other hand creams etc.
Used babies Sudocreme on them tonight!.

    Time for bed for me.
Was going to catch up on a TV programme on the BBCiplayer but too tired now.
    Good night.
Have to go shopping tomorrow, for a few basics, like milk, bananas, and firelighters. May call and see the new baby. Still havent got my camera back from Oxford, so no pictures to put on here as yet. sorry.

Mooloo am really sorry to hear youre still on the roundabout
I would write a letter to the head of Soc Serv and give a time frame for a reply I wuld also say if you dont get satisfactory answers you may involve the press as you are being pushed below the poverty line
cant believe Twin 2s partner has gone to audition to be a haven rep:eek: she needs all the help and support from him with a new baby not for him to go away and leave her with 2 children does he realise what he is proposing and the ramifications of his actions
hope you can get some kind of resolution to the problems you are facing
    Hugs to you all

Long time since I have posted on your thread, have been reading, but have not had any advice for you, has been great to see the replies and advice given to you. MSE is a lovely place.

Just want to give you ((((hugs)))) sorry, don't have any answers for you. BUT noooooo @ the Haven Rep....my daughter was a Redcoat at Butlins and I can tell you this is not a career move for a person who has a family

As most people who post on your thread, just wish I lived nearer so I could come round for a coffee and a natter and take your DGD off for a couple of hours to give you a break.....be nice if you could get to your sewing again, I miss seeing the things you have made, guess they have had to be put on the back boiler for now.

Hoping that you can get things sorted with social services and get some money from them, after all you must be saving them a fortune! not right that they keep fobbing you off.

    ((((hugs)))) to you and yours

Mooloo, from experience on the receiving end, please write to your MP and tell them everything, as the Council will have a very quick timescale for responding to them and will have to provide the answers.

If you would like anything checked before you send it, let me know & I will PM you my work & home email addresses. I will also try & do some digging here to see if that last SW was correct in what he said.

If you have any old cotton/woolen gloves, try somethering your hands in cream before bed and the putting the gloves on. Keeps the cream warm and really does work. If you haven't got old gloves, try a couple of freezer bags instead.

Here's some info on Kinship Care from the Childrens Legal Centre - HTH

    http://www.childrenslegalcentre.com/Resources/CLC/Documents/PDF%20A-M/Kinship%20care%20leaflet.pdf
.................:)....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

Mooloo, unless you catergorically state you are not going to continue to care for DGD then they will leave her with you - why wouldn't they? There are not enough foster carers/assessment units/a n other option to go around - it all comes down to money.
