A Payment A Day Part 4

Hello everybody ...
I'm pretty sure I am about to make my largest ever PAD - wait for it, here it comes.... £269.37 tutoring money to get chucked onto the CC. Not as huge as what some people have done but I'm pretty chuffed with it! I'm still working my way through this marking and really must get back to it so I'll catch up when I get a chance.

Looks pretty huge to me, Silaqui!!! I'd be well chuffed with that!:T0 -

Thanks Danko, it went ok and HR didn't toast me - they did however phone my manager to tell her even though they knew I hadn't had a chance to speak with her yet. She will be funny with me now cos she will be annoyed I didn't tell her first.
They also said something about stopping my pay next week. We get paid on the 10th for the whole month (10 days in arrears, 20 in advance). So not sure when/what I will be getting paid - will need to venture into the Dragon Lair again to ask!
Funnily enough I'm feeling a bit sad about leaving as although I don't like the job, I like the people I work with and they are sad that I'm leaving too. They looked like thiswhen I said I'd handed my notice in. I've been there for three years so it's going to be weird not working there anymore.
A three month notice period!
Anyway my pad for today is 50p to Barclaycard.Glad they weren't too brutal with you sashybo but they shouldn't have told your manager before you did - not very professional! I'm sure people in our place think I'm mad with bright red hair, tattoos, nose piercings and likes to chat with people :rotfl: Maybe that's why my doors a revolving one!
When you're back in on Monday speak to them about your pay. They have enough time to stop the BACS payment on Monday (you need 3 days to clear) so they should be able to recalculate your pay for the days you've worked (plus O/T if applicable) and pay you any accrued holidays that you haven't taken yet as they're pro-rated. And then it's on to your neeeew shiny job!Make sure you go out for a few drinkies with everyone though
3 months... I know
Hope you get it all sorted though

Cheers for the totalling up DT. Much appreciated.
Since the forum upgrade, I notice that I don't get any notification emails when a post is made in a subscribed thread. All my settings seem to be fine to receive such emails but I don't receive them any more. Anyone else noticed this as I'm trying to work out if it's an issue with my own settings or if it's something gone wonky with MSE.0 -
Bit of a late post for me - getting tired so a quickie to say it's the usual £10 to Lloyds CC.................
Weight loss MAY not be so great next week though - as tonight we had (shhhhh) fish chips & mushy peas:eek::eek:.....this is ALWAYS what we have if I ask DH what we should have to eat :rotfl: ah well once in a while I suppose.......Plus I went to HB & got some of their choccy bar misshapes...& ate one of those, too. I blame that rotten person who said they got strawberry MICE in their bags......none in mine, boo-hoo but I still keep looking :T
re the money - WELL, aha I think we could be in luck tomorrow (phew). Actually they reckon they have now paid us via BACS now - & looking at the b/a there *MAY* be something waiting in the wings - & guess what, the cheque they sent also arrived today - having been posted on the 26th:mad: Now we have to tear that up & hope the BACS payment clears tomorrow. Heyho it's only for April's wages after all  And guess what, now May's wages are due on the 15th of July......will they arrive then??? Not a hope in hell, as they say:rotfl:and so we struggle on.
Thanks for getting mad on our behalf....as we struggle to juggle the bills, it's part of being self-employed but not the most rewarding bitHope you get everything sorted sashanut *fingers crossed* It must be so frustrating! Surely these people are in breach of their contracts with you both? Btw, those strawberry mice sound really good right now omnomnomnom
