However, it does differ from company to company. I would ask them if it is possible to receive the full month's salary this month, as planned, with a corrected payslip next month showing what should be returned. This should then tide you over until you receive your first pay from the new company.
Don't forget, any earned but unused holiday should also be added to your final payslip, along with overtime etc etc
Also, I'm not sure that they can change your pay without giving a full month's notice so check your contract.
Sorry, gotta run again, but make sure you talk to them about the options here.
Thanks for the advice euro - sometimes I think they make it up as they go along!I just heard a quick mutter about stopping my pay before being booted out of the HR office i.e. the Dragon Lair.

I'm sure people in our place think I'm mad with bright red hair, tattoos, nose piercings and likes to chat with people :rotfl: Maybe that's why my doors a revolving one!
When you're back in on Monday speak to them about your pay. They have enough time to stop the BACS payment on Monday (you need 3 days to clear) so they should be able to recalculate your pay for the days you've worked (plus O/T if applicable) and pay you any accrued holidays that you haven't taken yet as they're pro-rated. And then it's on to your neeeew shiny job!Make sure you go out for a few drinkies with everyone though
3 months... I know
Hope you get it all sorted though
xx
Yeah she then phoned another manager on the floor and announced that I would be late on because I was resigning! In a nice loud voice so the other HR ladies could hear as well. :rotfl:I wish you were my HR lady Danko - I'm sure you're far more sane than the Dragons in my place!
I will be seeing them tomorrow - as lucky me I get to work Saturdays so will ask. I usually get scared and forget what I'm there to ask as they growl at you as soon as you open the door!Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. I've been sent a couple of 0% credit card cheques today for 6 months. Funny how they send them when i already have a largish 0% balance which is about to expire. I suppose they are hoping that I will make a transfer and trap the old debt at high interest. What i may actually do is to transfer the largis balance elsewhere temporarily, then transfer it back plus the £1,400 from the other card. This would involve balance transfer fees of around £270 so I need to do my sums first to see if it's viable. No rush as I have till the end of July to decide (minus clearance times for two BTs). I would rather have a low rate LOB deal so I may phone around in the next week to see if anything is available. It's not always best policy to close a card when it gets to zero. Sometimes it's good to keep it for a temporary balance holder if you get the chance to juggle the APRs. Of course, it's better if you know yourself well enough to trust yourself not to spend on top of a BT.0 -

I didn't think it should go into his bottle but I'm struggling to keep him full. He's only 6weeks which makes me not want to give him but I can't keep up with the demand for milk!
What milk is he on? Have you tried a richer babies milk? Is he gaining weight ok? You need to speak to your hv about this for help. When i had my first child in 2000 we were advised not to wean until 4 months, now they advise 6 months...you never know they may delay weaning until they reach school age2013 TARGET £30k

Have you tried Hungry Baby milk for your DS?
Thank you...I like to hear things like that!
Yeah we tried the hungry milk, didn't make a blind bit of difference!!
Not sure where the confidence came from, just naturally I guess! I'm not really a worrier when it comes to making decisions about how to look after the wee ones, DD has been in a set routine since she was 2weeks old (I think I just got lucky!) so that's made things alot easier and I'm really defensive when someone tells me I'm doing something 'wrong' because there isn't really a wrong or right, just whatever works for individual parents.Started PADdin' 13/04/09 paid £7486.66 - CC free 02/11/10
