    Thanks :)

I cant believe she is talking about special school already, is it just because he has low muscle tone? What an old cowbag . I am so glad we managed to get a new HV who is a real lifeline for us now, she gets Fraser all the help he needs and make sure evveryone keeps all thier promises.

No there's nothing 'wrong' with him! He's surprised all the medical staff that he's come across so far as he's not your 'typical' ds baby. I only knew staright after he was born that he had it because he was blue and had a squashed face, the midwives didn't pick up on it!

He's a real wee wriggler and has been rolling onto his side for a couple of weeks now, he doesn't do it very often though! He also holds his head up for a few seconds and I've got to fight with him to get him wrapped up, he's a strong wee lad! I don't have any concerns about his muscle tone.

Don't get me wrong, I was really upset that he was born with downs but after a couple of days I was over it, instinct kicks in but there just seems to be a stigma around kids that aren't in keeping with what you would expect to give birth to (I know you don't like the word 'normal' so tried not to use it :))
The upsetting thing is, if I hadn't had one of those babies that don't 'fit in' then I never would have realised that their birth isn't really a celebration, it's more like hassle and extra paperwork for people which wasn't a nice experience for me and I'm sure it wasn't for other parents because it seems like I need to isolate him to keep him from being stared at.

I'm glad you're now getting Fraser the help that he deserves, all kids should be given the same chances in life regardless of what they have been born with or without because when it boils down to it, they're all just babies...God I can't half rant when I get started! How's the savings for Fraser's new table going?

You should have seen the look on my HV face when she found out that i was giving both my babies one spoon of baby rice a day from 6 weeks old

I was thinking of giving the wee man some baby rice, never had to do it with DD...Did you put it in the bottle or on a spoon before you gave them their milk?

Baby rice should not go in their bottle.

Mix a bit of their bottle with a bit of rice as if you were making a porridge and feed it with a small spoon. How old is he now?

I have just PaD £100 to HMRC as usual.

    Hi Lemma,

I didn't think it should go into his bottle but I'm struggling to keep him full. He's only 6weeks which makes me not want to give him but I can't keep up with the demand for milk!

    Hi DietCokeMad,

Do you know if the company processes their own payroll, ie in house, or do they outsource this to a payroll provider? Like Capita for example?

I'm asking because I am trying to ascertain if the fault lies with the company or with the payroll provider. Neither is acceptable, but at least you would know who best to direct your complaints to. Although, it should first be directed at the company, in writing.

I have a few payroll contacts in the UK and can ask them for some advice on this, ie, what are the companies legal obligations etc etc. But, I wanted to ask you first if you were happy for me to do that.

    Let me know :)

Angelic - you sound like your doing a fabby job, and I wish I had your confidence at being a parent. I second guess myself about everything and end up worrying about worrying. The bead table fund is going well, I have about £70 which is a third of the way :)

Have you tried Hungry Baby milk for your DS?

I only did this after a couple of weeks on the stage up milk (which for mine didn't make any difference) but just gave them 1 teaspoon of runny made up with formula at lunch time from a baby spoon, made a big difference because they then went 3 hours between feeds for the rest of the day/night instead of one and a half.
I just think as parent we know our babies the best and instinctively know when it's time for things and what they need, the text books should only be a guide and alot of them talk cods wallop
