Evening All,

Shame about Murray at the tennis...had high hopes this year!0 -
Evening All,
£2.50 for me today.
I'm so tired tonight but Kings of Leon are on TV so I'm trying to stay awake! The best things in life aren't things.0 -
Hello one & all . . . I've been walking round with a big ole grin on my face all day . . . hee hee . . . can't wait to see the balance tumble on that interest free amount . . . next target is Co-Op cleared by 3rd week of September . . .
Should be more than doable as I had a letter today telling me today that I'm going to be a whole lot better off before tax thanks to a 2% pay rise, this also applies to my new position as well as the increase in my location allowance because I'm going to be closer to London.
Just got back from watching Public Enemies . . . Oh dear what a load of old tosh . . . was really looking forward to it but what a let down . . . Mr Depp looks DAMN fine though !!!!!! About it's only redeeming feature.
My loose change PAD of the day is £5.05 to various tins sealed & singing . . .DFW NERD# 1175Proud Member of Sealed Pot Challenge #5 ~ 1479 cashless_wonder~*DEBT FREE & LOVING IT*~0 -

Yes it really IS frustrating:mad::mad::mad: - I suppose they technically are in breach of contract, but since we have all our invoice eggs in their tardy basket, we don't have a leg to stand on really.....we just complain every monthheyho well we did actually get paid today:j:j:j & to wit the business o/d is somewhat reduced temporarily...so not too bad...:D
Strawberry mice sound good to me too tbh but can't find any of the little beggars in my 2 packets of mis-shaped bars from HB......I'm the one in there *feeling* all the bags to find something mouse-shaped (can you be arrested for that?):D
An update on DH's A&L BT cheques: if you remember he has zero balance on the A&L card but when he phoned up to to do a BT, they refused to do a BT & also refused to tell him why - unless he 'wrote in & asked'. Then recently he got sent some BT cheques......after some deliberation, we decided that they probably sent them in error, but in the end it was just soo tempting & he rang up to check. The girl he spoke to confirmed that indeed he COULD NOT do a BT over the phone, but as for the BT cheques - well, she said, they MAY be OK......she couldn't say YES or NOso we decided to give it a go.
So today, I've tried one :eek::eek: either my PAD today is £1000 + £10 to LLoyds cc OR, more likely PAD is just the £10 to LLoyds CC How mad is that?????? watch this space....;)New start JAN15 - NOT BUYING IT 2015 . Long haul DFW #145 : 2011 DEBTBUSTING : £5500 OD GONE, £2000 OD - GONE £93,610.30 cc & loan debt - GONE 27.6.14 FINALLY DEBT & MORTGAGE FREE :happyhear0 -

Yesterday the government announced that CC cheques will now be banned as they encourage people to get into more debt. It's part of their "shutting the gate after the horse has bolted" method of preventing huge personal debt....genius eh?!
Yes I noticed that too. There's something about it on the MSE home page too. They're not actually banned but it seems that you have to opt in to receive them. Not starting till next summer by the look of it. I have actually done OK out of cc cheques at times. I've only used them to BT at a special offer rather than for adding to debt.0 -
