    Hi all
Just popping in to post PAD of £32 to Lloyds Prat-cc.....Now here's a weird thing which you could perhaps advise me on. Maybe you remember me saying a couple of weeks ago that DH has an A&L card (zero balance) with a big credit limit, it was earmarked to BT my LLoyds CC to. He'd received a BT offer from A&L in the post, but when he phoned up to do the BT, they refused to BT ANYTHING AT ALL with no explanation given - altho he was told he could 'write in & ask' if he wanted to know why. Well, at that point I ripped up the offer & put it through the shredder........as it was no use..

Today through the post he received another offer from A&L, including some CC cheques with a BT of 0.9% p/a until Dec 09:confused::confused: My inclination is not to phone up & ask to transfer, but just to write a cc cheque to LLoyds & assume the BT offer has been sent in good faith - or that the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing at A&L :rotfl::rotfl:What do you think? Is it worth a punt??? It would make a massive difference as LLoyds is 24.95%:eek::eek:
New start JAN15 - NOT BUYING IT 2015 . Long haul DFW #145 : 2011 DEBTBUSTING : £5500 OD GONE, £2000 OD - GONE £93,610.30 cc & loan debt - GONE 27.6.14 FINALLY DEBT & MORTGAGE FREE :happyhear
  • Hey Sashanut,

I dunno bout A&L but the RBS stable of cards inc Tesco take 3 months to remove you from their marketing list. If you are no longer eligible for a BT offer, the ironic thing is that you will still receive the offer in the post. Not sure of their policy but I know Tesco will honour the offer if you fax a copy of the letter as you actually received it. May be worth a call or the cheque may go through but at the cash or standard rate which may leave you worse off if there is a fee. Hope that makes some sort of sense...
