OK, the money was there (whoop!) so have made a PAD of £15 today to the ever evil Virgin CC! Feels good :)

And it's Friday! Yay! :) Feeling a bit cr'p though today as my hayfever is awful, and mix that with heat and asthma and I become a little miserable.

Will be positive, will be positive. It's Friday after all! :)

    Happy Friday everyone!!!!!!

  • £1 PAD for me again today.

As for Michael Jackson, I am sad he died but not shocked. He has been looking frail for a long long time now and there was no chance he'd have made it through all those concerts. I thought he'd have at least done a few though!

I hope his kids get through this ok too. Poor little things.

I wouldn't miss it even if I turned up just for a couple of naan breads

You couldn't go for an indian and not eat curry!
Yes, I'm aware of my wonderful intelligence. Thank you for reminding me though ;)

We're awful full of ourselves this morning are we not?? :rotfl:
Cheers me dears . . . right off to work to watch the vultures strip the shelves of Michael Jackson stock . . . Why do these folks NEVER seem to buy stuff when the artist / actor is alive to enjoy the cash and then line the pockets of lawyers when they turn up their toes ?[/QUOTE]

I've got a few Michael Jackson albums, the music is ace but lets face it he was a bit weird! I'm shocked that he's dead but I had a wee chuckle when I read 'when they turn up their toes'...Never heard that before, I'd have said that MJ snuffed it! :D

    Morning all!

It's been a busy thread so far today!

Sue I hope you get you OH's boss told! Sashybo was it you asking about the A&L cheque? If it was my advice wouldbe to ignore it! If you BT'd and couldn't get the rate that they were offering, they'd charge you the cash advance rate so it's probably not worth the risk!

factor 50 sun cream apparently doesn't work! There was a thing on the t.v about it a few years ago saying that you can't protect your skin with factor 50 as you can only really protect yourself with factor 30 or 40 (I can't remember which is was) so when you buy factor 50 sun cream, your not actually using factor 50 sun cream...if you see what I mean!

Anyway, my pad for today is £5.32

    Have a fab day!

Angelic, I think it was Sashanut asking about the A&L cheque. ;) I can see how you mixed up the names!

Just another pad of 50p to Barclaycard today, totally skint until OH gets paid on Tuesday. More bills will then come out and we will be skint again.

Working a silly three hour shift today that I didn't even find out about until last night at work. Really annoyed as I was looking forward to having today and tomorrow away from retail hell. Now have to go all the way into town for a silly little three hour shift - it's quite pointless.

    Hello all.

Making payments for today and tomorrow as will be at Wimbledon :j (Centre Court all being well) Ready for my camping adventure tonight but keeping an eye on the rain forecast. It will be fun whatever.

    £100 for Friday

    £23 for Saturday please Paul.

Poor MJ. I reckon Whitney's behind it as she's jealous of his come-back and wants his 50 concert dates at the o2. lol. I am sure this is one of many conspiracy theories which will pop up.

Hi all, thank you so much for all the congrts and kind messages-you blew me away.I'm feeling a flutter of excitement now which is positive.I think it's 'cos we decided to stop trying for a baby this month as doc advised against it (mainly as she thought I would struggle I guess). Then loa and behold,we get caught, lol. My friend said although it appears like bad timing it is prob a blessing in disguise, as I now have to look after myself!
So I've spent the last few days trying to slowly increase my food intake.I feel v bloated and gross but at least I'm trying to be healthier.

    Congrats Twinkles!

Perhaps you could concentrate on nutritious food to start off with and just repeat things like 'I need to eat this banana because it is full of potassium which is good for the baby as well as me. I need to eat this chicken because it has protein in it, which is good for the baby as well as me' etc...

Maybe that will make it easier.

Anyway, one day at a time.

Really, really great news. Very pleased for you :)

My friend was told she was getting a 10% paycut over the next 3 years and when she complained, she was told she shouldn't have overstretched herself on her mortgage (she hadn't). The Cheek!!! Makes me so
