Do you happen to know if this will work with Vista and Win2000 please?Taffybiker wrote: »I only just followed the link given above. It states that both PC's must be running XP professional.
I have a different link which may be of interest, detailing how to use email for remote assistance. This does work with XP on one machine and Vista on another - I have done so.

Hope this helps.0 -
Company may well be 'sound' but as has been said, that is still EXPENSIVE.Thanks Fonz,
Yes it is a bit steep, but when we are so far away we can`t help him.
Brother has re-assured me this company are ok. So we will just have to wait and see.
Thanks everyone for your input.

Surely to goodness there is someone in his home locality that would make a home call as a one off and the charge would be more reasonable?
Where I live there are any number of such firms offering home vists, often no call out charge for an assessment then you could speak to them to agree a time/price for the job?
If this was my father I would defo be trying to get out of this contract.
All very well for your brother but doesn't sound like he's paying?????:eek:0 -

I am fairly sure Win2000 does not have this capability. The best bet would probably be to use VNC, but I haven't used it myself.Try saying "I have under-a-pound in my wallet" and listen to people react!0 -

There is a free version at http://www.tightvnc.com/
Or a paid version at http://www.realvnc.com/
The Enterprise Edition at realvnc suggests higher security, worth considering if for a business.Try saying "I have under-a-pound in my wallet" and listen to people react!0 -
Hey, that video was fun!Download CrossLoop to both computers, no need to register. Play video here for demo. Its free.
Is there any downside to using this ie is it secure?
Not for a business but is for me to try and helpDD with a 'puta problem and she has turned the corner into the final straight of her PhD thesis write up and no way can we risk anything happening to it.
