Sorry DCFC79,
Its going to take a lot to talk Dad through everything else he needs to do, but thanks anyway.
I am going to try to do a System restore, just need to work out from which date as I think he has already removed Superantispy>
Cheers Suzanne
Ps. I have Vista, do I have remote assistance and do you still need MSM?0 -
Hi again,
Cannot seem to do a system restore!!
I have suggested he tries Virgin(bb supplier) or Comet(bought pc in april) to help.
I just can`t visit for at least 2 weeks:-(

MSN is one way, but not strictly necessary. Remote Access > Invite Someone to Help You.
Your father can input your email address (at the bottom) and send you a file through email. When you open the file it will request your father to allow you access to his PC. At the start, you can only view his desktop screen and chat in a window. Above the window is a button to take full control of the remote PC. Again, your father will need to allow this. Once he has accepted, you will be able to control his PC as if it were your own.Try saying "I have under-a-pound in my wallet" and listen to people react!0 -

Sorry Suzanne - I am the dim one. I meant Remote Assistance, not Remote Access. It's exactly where Fonz says in post #20. After clicking on Invite someone to help you, the next screen offers a choice to use Windows Messenger, or use e-mail.
This is the same method I use to assist my own father. My PC has XP, his has Vista.Try saying "I have under-a-pound in my wallet" and listen to people react!0
