Your father can input your email address (at the bottom) and send you a file through email. When you open the file it will request your father to allow you access to his PC. At the start, you can only view his desktop screen and chat in a window. Above the window is a button to take full control of the remote PC. Again, your father will need to allow this. Once he has accepted, you will be able to control his PC as if it were your own.
oh i say my msn contacts and i thought msn was the only way to do it0 -

I only just followed the link given above. It states that both PC's must be running XP professional.
I have a different link which may be of interest, detailing how to use email for remote assistance. This does work with XP on one machine and Vista on another - I have done so.

Hope this helps.Try saying "I have under-a-pound in my wallet" and listen to people react!0 -

Hi Everyone,
Well Dad is back on-line:-)
My brother organised a company called The PC Support Group to visit.
All seems fine but he has also got a contract for the next 12 months at £25 a month.
The Pc was bought in April this year for £300.
Does anyone have any experience of this company, I have had a look at their web but that does not really tell me anything.
Thanks for helping

Hi,
glad your dad is sorted.
Don't know the company, but at £25 a month, that's the cost of the Pc over the year.
Was your dad on his own when they called and talked into it, I would try to get out of it.0
