Hahaha, I honestly can't believe I'm reading this. Somebody is throwing their toys out the pram because they didn't win an auction - then they go to their solicitor's for advice! :rotfl:

Is dino-princess-char so mentally damaged that needs she somebody to wipe their backside, in case they get dirt on their hands?

You were too slow, dino-princess-char - get a grip!

My sincere apologies, as my son has bipolar ... no excuse, really sorry :(

Don't worry. I can see I might have sounded like one of those 'surrendered wives' who let their partners choose all their clothing!

These shoes must have been amazing for all this fuss! I'm not really sure what you're hoping to gain from your legal battle, a seller can cancel a bid for any reason they see fit, so even if she had, there's nothing you can do about it

Also, i'm not quite sure why you're on MSE...if you wanted to save some money, you should stop wasting your time with solicitors..they'll cost you ALOT of money!

What does he think you are going to achieve from this? And on what legal basis is he pursuing your case?

Still, I guess he's more bothered about the costs he's going to get from you (which you won't even be able to recover from the other side if your spurious claim were successful).

NO, just the email to say my bid was confirmed at £50.01 and I was the highest bidder at that point. Which is how I can't understand what is going on, as surely by sending that from their system, they are accepting that I have bid that amount? But what I don't undertsand is how the item was won by someone with a lower bid than the one I placed if the seller did not cancel it, or ebay did not cancel it, both of which claim they did not. If the email I received was a spam then how would it know the exact amount I typed in?? I don't understand, but will find out what happened.

It's just some shoes. Seriously, move on.

I don't mean to offend by saying this, as I am obviously involved in this matter.

You are showing the signs of someone in a manic episode. Please speak to someone close to you, preferably your care team, before proceeding with anything like legal action. People in manic phases act irrationally, often to the detriment of their finances. As has been said above by the lady who was a legal secretary, should you plan to proceed with this (and that is your decision) it will be an expensive business. I think it would be wise to speak to someone else first. Lawyers want to make money at the end of the day and they will charge you for cases which may not have the best chance of being decided favourably. Although I have been involved with this and the whole business has distressed me a great deal, I am getting the impression here that you are not very well. I would not wish anyone to be taken advantage of financially because of poor decision-making.

That's the last thing I want to say on the matter :o
