I am concerned that the image of people with manic-depression (the same condition) being portrayed here is that they are constantly emotionally labile and therefore unreliable. When sufferers take their medication, in most cases the illness is well-controlled. and they do not need to be 'handled with care'. What with Kerry Katona's antics, I think people with bipolar disorder are becoming very misrepresented.
I completely agree with this. I've been somewhat lax with medication in the past and because I have, at times, quite a stressful and responsible job I make sure I stick to it now as I don't want to be seen as not as good as anyone else I work with. Actually, though I don't follow Kerry's life, what I have heard makes me think that the people around her probably aren't the best at keeping details from the public. But that's another thread:p0 -
I do actually think its a good thing to have both parties here.
To the 'Buyer', do you really believe legal action is the way forward? I haven't won items due to being out bid or forgetting to bid and never even considered anything so insane.
Dare I ask what ebay have said about this? if I placed a bid got confirmation and it didn't go then I would be asking ebay why. Of course I would ask the seller if they ever received the bid, but I wouldn't jump in with 2 feet with all guns blazing. You really do seem to have caused some distress here over something as trivial as a pair of shoes. You must be able to see form this post the seller really hasn't done anything wrong and hasn't knowingly cancelled you bid.
Seriously get on to ebay customer services and find out what happened and stop harrassing the seller as they are just as much a victim of this problem as you are.Have my first business premises (+4th business) 01/11/2017

Why don't you just apologise for threatening someone and then go away?
There's nothing wrong with the system, no bid was made and therefore it wasn't logged. You have a serious case of sour grapes and insolence. You can't extort someone to sell something to you, send them outrageously unfounded emails about bringing in a lawyer on a non-existent transaction and then pretend you're right. Whatever happened after you began this palaver doesn't negate the fact you have behaved in an unacceptable manner.0 -
dino-princess-char - the ebay part of this forum is notoriously not pink and fluffy, but no-one would wish you to harm yourself. There are some really good people on here.
I mainly buy on ebay so pop in from time to time. But I do take it with a pinch of salt. You can also get some really good advice here.
Also - look around the rest of the forum. There are some really nice people on here and I am sure you will find something of interest.
However, in keeping with the more abrasive nature of this part of the forum - I have to ask about what the shoes were. I used to work as a legal secretary a few years ago, and the solicitor I worked for charged £126 per hour PLUS Vat, and it wasn't the most expensive practice in town. My shoes are normally under £20 from Matalan and I think I am missing some of the shades of meaning here.Ankh Morpork Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons - don't let my flame go out!0 -
are we even sure this person isn't someone having us all on ???
what started as an unfortunate event involving some worn shoes, has now developed into a game of medical top trumps !:grouphug:

Is there any chance that these ridiculous threats were bought on by your disorder? Despite other telling you you are doing the right thing, they are probably only saying that BECAUSE of your disorder.
There is no way you would win any sort of legal action, you have been seriously misinformed0 -
can you pm me your solicitors phone number ?
i fancy a giggle...:grouphug:

Just a thought to Dino - as you are also a sufferer of this condition, how would YOU feel if mippy sent the emails to you threatening petty legal action?
Have a bit of consideration for others before you start shamelessly throwing idle threats about legal action around. You really should know better if you are both in the same emotional boat.<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -

I agree I'm sure it is all a joke, OP could this be someone you know playing a trick on you?
Honestly, threatening a seller with the law for refusing to sell when they were not the winning bidder on an auction, oh please. I've not heard anything so funny for ages. :rotfl:
As for the various medical disorders (or syndromes) being bandied around, that's when I decided this was all a joke, before those statements I was prepared to think it was real.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
