  • Hi Thomas, Barcleys told me it will take about 24 hours to transfer the money to Apple, and Apple will send you an e-mail one day later "Your order is being processed" with the estimated delivery date.

Thanks for that will post back on how I got on. By the way has anyone seen the charges from Barclays for missed payments? Not that I'm planning to or that anyone should but they charge £22.25 for late payment and an additional £20 for missed direct debit I thought that was very expensive. Just something I noticed when glancing at the T&C's.

Can anyone tell me when Barclays let you know when your first payment is and how long it takes them to get in contact regarding the agreement I received my mac last week but haven't heard from them.
  • I think it was something like one month after the purchase in the terms and conditions, but I'm not entirely sure, have a look, it's in there.

Congratulation to your new companion, mine arrived yesterday.

Mine came very fast dispatched on the Thursday received on the Friday and that was standard delivery although I did contact them to see if I could upgrade to express delivery but they couldn't but the fella said he'd chase it up. Very good service.

Just went through the application process for this and got the following message:

The Customer's application has received a Refer decision for the initial bureau credit score.
Please inform the Customer they will receive 2 emails which will allow them to complete the online identity check questions.

Customer decision part 1 – Link email
Customer decision part 2 – Password

The Customer must use the link email to enter the log in page and then enter their security question and the password from the second email. They will then be presented with the identity checking questions.

Once the Customer has completed their identity questions they will receive a final decision on their loan application.

Anyone else had this message? Still waiting on the email after an hour so wondering when I will get it.

Getting a loan to keep a computer that's not yours until you've paid off double what it's worth is a stupid idea. Do what i did and work whilst saving up for a year and then buy it.

Also my friend got a macbook from the Apple store in Norwich. He paid half there and then and paid the other half off in finance. He was a jobless student.

My partner got....rejected! Strange - she has had a credit card for the past 8 months, always paid on time, paid off the balance in 6 months etc.

We put it on the 0% credit card which runs out december. Will open up a new one then. Definitely the best way - if you can get accepted this way and get the credit limit you are after.
  • Noticed you said Barclays said 24 hours to transfer £. I was accepted with same email you quote above on Thursday the 24th oct it's now the 28th (granted 2 non working days in there so on day 2 now) still says awaiting payment in apple store I've read on apple forums Barclays are 5 days behind in processing transfers. I know I could ring them but don't want to pester only on day 2 lol. Can I ask how long it took for apple to receive funds from Barclays in your case?

Oh and to those who are criticising people getting a PC on finance, mind your own business if you've nothing constructive to say on the questions asked.

    Regards
