I got this e-mail:
Dear xxxx
Barclays Partner Finance Account Number xxxxx
Thank you for opening your Apple Distribution International account financed by Barclays Partner Finance.
We confirm that your finance agreement was accepted and is in the same form as the copy previously e-mailed to you. If this e-mail does not include a copy of your accepted agreement and you would like a copy please contact Apple Distribution International or us on the number below. You should read your agreement carefully as it details in full the terms and conditions of your new account.
Under the terms you have 14 days from the day after you received this e-mail to withdraw from the finance agreement. Details of how you can exercise this right, and the consequences of doing so, are set out in the finance agreement. This right to withdraw does not include your purchase agreement. If you wish to discuss your purchase agreement you should contact Apple Distribution International directly.
If you have any questions or require any further information please contact us on 0844 811 9000.
Kind Regards
Barclays Partner Finance
I was a bit confused, called them and asked if I have to send them the signed agreement, but they said the agreement has been signed electronically, Apple will get the money in the next 24hours and that's it.
Quicker than expected.0 -
Am thinking myself of getting a Macbook Pro with finance, over 48 months etc
I have had finance before with other companies etc, but this is the 1st I've heard where the agreement has been signed electronically online? Is it a new thing for everyone or just some cases?
I don't mind having to print off and sign something to send off etc, (If I get accepted of course) just wondering if they've started doing this by default now?0 -
UPDATE:
So thought id go ahead and apply for a 48 month loan agreement
Application went ok, was provisionally accepted, and then got a phone call within 15 mins
Was asked a few more security questions etc, and then within 10-15 mins after the phone call I got this email:
Dear MR XXXXXX
Unfortunately your application has not been successful. In assessing your application we have used information that we received from Experian. If you require a copy of the information they hold on you, they can be contacted in one of the following ways:
Don't really understand this as my Credit score is excellent, it's obviously dropped slightly now by being declined etc but I've never missed a payment on anything and always unto date on other credit payments etc
1 thing I'm thinking that might of swayed the decision though is round about 3 months ago I set up an agreement for pay in 12 months thingy (only for something £300 ish) and that went though all ok, could it be that becuase i've recently had that I was declined for this apple finance?
Otherwise can't really think why else0 -
Very strange. I got 3 loans from them. I've changed my mind twice and applied again without cancelling the other loan(s). I have to call Barclays soon, I've already cancelled the orders in the Apple store today but not with the bank (Apple said it's better to wait 24-48 hours). I would try to get the credit report from Experian.
I didn't get a phone call at all, the first loan went straight through, and the final descision e-mails from the 2 other loans arrived about 18 hours later. I applied on different days. I expected to get phone calls too, but it didn't happen.0 -

The macbook pro is overdue for a refresh (ie new model), as this didnt happen during the WWDC (10th June) then its expected sooner rather than later, estimates would be Q3/Q4.
The new model will have the haswell processor at least which is claimed to increase battery life by 50%.0 -
So do Apple no longer do any 0% financing offers?0
-
Dont think so, its all ~ 14.9%0

Btw. when I was applying for the finance I didn't enter any figure for income or rent. I just left these fields blank. In many of multiple choice questions it's possible to select "Not asked", for the partner status and something about the job (I don't know where else, but I did wherever the option was there).
I was a bit surprised not to get a phone call from them. Maybe it's a good idea to give as little detail as you can.0 -

I applied for Apple finance yesterday and was given a message 'refer decision' which meant that they wanted to look into my application. So today I received an email asking me to login online to my application because a decision was made.
I was asked a few questions about information that only I would know like confirm who I have a bank account with etc.
I then clicked next and answered a couple of more things and then I received a message on screen that my application was approved!
I have applied for Apple finance about 6 months ago and was declined so I was surprised after not getting an instant decision.
Does anyone know how long it takes Apple to contact me if they contact me at all to let me know what happens next?0
