Lemma 1968 - I'm 39 and thought I knew a fair bit - but I learned about the 'Wrigleys Extra' trick on here - It's a family forum so I'm not going into details - lets just say the minty flavour is transferable to other parts of my DH.;)

This is definitely the most funniest thread ever on MSE!

When my hubby worked nights we'd sometimes have a "special goodbye" upstairs before he left ;). We'd leave our toddlers downstairs with a video of Postman Pat/Fireman Sam. And on one occasion, one of the kids came crawling up the stairs - the tape had stuck- so we quickly threw the covers over ourselves. Anyway - kid appeared in the doorway and proceeeded to jump onto his Dad's back, yelling "Daddy! I want a ride!!!!!!"

We finished the deed with me on my back, hubby on top of me, kid on top of him.........oh my God!!!!!:rotfl::rotfl:

I have really loved this thread and I am no prude, accidents happen and kids will appear when you dont expect them to, but is it just me who finds the above absolutely disgusting-I am sorry but close to the edge or not, there is just no excuse for continuing whilst toddler is on dads back/in the room. I really think this is a form of child abuse and you and your hubby should be ashamed of yourselves.

This thread is ace :D, funniest one I've ever read :D

For the minty, sparkling water peeps - try some tepid tea (maybe thats the OPs DS idea ;))

One holiday in Australia in a campervan at age 11, sleeping in the cab with sister and parents in the main bit - woke up to lots of noises (tut honestly) and then said 'little bunnies have big ears' and it stopped...anyway the next night they got caught by the campsites owners having sex in the warm springs pool!!!

How embarassing...but not nearly as bad as the time my sister had moved out but still had a key, let herself in and was upstairs on the computer, came down a few hours later to find said parents having sex on the sofa - they didnt know she was there - mortfying ;)

Oh and they took our keys away after that ;)

Just don't use beer - beers brewed with yeast can lead to thrush in a delicate region, and if the Bavarian BJ's only the warmup to the main event it can end up being an unexpected outcome both partners share

I haven't read all of this thread, but wanted to add my comments.

I saw my parents in the act when I was about 10, as well as hearing them regularly throughout my childhood. The sighting was fine although I was a bit shocked at the time (mainly because their door was open and my younger sister was playing next to their bed whilst they were at it) but the noises completely disgusted me (and are very disrespectful tbh). They would often wake me at night, although I don't think they were even that loud.

I have children and I ensure we have quiet sex. I really don't think it's a question of no sex or noisy sex. To those who asked how you avoid people in the house hearing you having sex, it's simple. You ensure you don't make any noises; bed, floorboards & pleasure sounds included. I suppose it might come down to self control, certainly not needing to be gagged; it's really not that difficult.

In terms of the OP, I wouldn't say anything unless your daughter specifically asks. Her feelings and reaction are normal, as are yours.
