ask her how does she think she was brought into the world? lol

Childbirth would probably be okay, its the conception ritual she's having problems with. :rotfl:

Looks like I even have a lot to learn. Just to add my best friend from school watched her parents at or more like she was under the bed the entire time they were busy...why because she thought it would be funny to hide from them as a sort of prank. To this day she has never owned a bed that isn't completely on the floor and also she has a lot of insecurities to do with sex. Of course she is married and has two kids of her own but is still very shy and not open with her husband. When this happened she was 12!

My parents who were not religious in any way shape or form used to send me to the Salvation Army hall every Bl***y sunday. It was only in later years that I found out the reason why. I think I would rather have listened to the groans of ecstasy that onward christian soldiers.

This has just reminded me, the my niece was about 9 or so years old and sex ed took place at school, she came home that day, and told granny (my mother) she wasn't talking to her mum or dad, because she thought is was disgusting that they did such things to each other!!

She is 23 now, and often gets reminded of this at least twice a year!:rotfl:

I can't believe she's still acting the maggot.

If I were in your situation, it would be time to catch her in her room (knock before going in... it's simple courtesy ;) ) and explain to her that adults who live together and have children have definitely had sex in the past and are overwhelmingly likely to still be at it. Your intention isn't to embarrass her, and you stopped when you knew she was awake and only carried on when you thought she'd gone back to sleep out of respect for her feelings. However, her behaviour on the night and since then is completely unacceptable and since she has to continue to live with you she will have to accept that you and her father will continue to enjoy each other's company in and out of the bedroom.

The deal is simple: you two don't sh@g on the sofa, and she doesn't come into your bedroom without knocking. If she expects to be treated with the respect due to an adult, she has to abide by adult standards of behaviour. At the moment she isn't.
This is exactly what I would do ^^^^^

I remember catching my parents at it, I went into their room unexpectedly. They were under the quilt so I didn't see anything, I just turned round and went out again. Nobody ever referred to it, there was no need. I was quite pleased that they still loved each other so much as they argued quite a lot at the time.

As the OP's DD is overreacting perhaps it would be a good idea to talk to her like Sugar has suggested. And maybe she should watch Meet the Fockers - Ben Stiller's mum and dad have a refreshing attitude to sex! Perhaps it will make her see things differently!

Thanks OP, you sound like you're still a bit embarassed by talking about sex, probably comes from being brought up by a prudish mother. I managed to get over it eventually, and learned to let my inhibitions go, but it's prefectly normal to be embarassed by being caught in the act - don't worry about it so much, your DD will come round eventually - and if she even tries to mention it to her Gran, she'll be stopped in her tracks before she gets to the description of your toys...honestly, she will.;)

Good Luck - and remember , it's like falling off a horse or a bicycle, you need to get back in the saddle quickly so you don't have time to fret about riding again.:p

I spent a few years in care as a result of a non exsistent bond with my folks, there is no way on this planet i am going to have a similar childhood for my children, so yes i do want a happy childhood with minimal drama for my children.

Good for you! It sounds like you are a great parent. Sex is natural and don't feel guilty about your Dd attitude / embarrassment. Seems like things are getting sorted and you never know, one day you might just catch her out!!;)
