Poor kid she must have been SO Embarrased !!! that said it doesnt excuse her behavour now though. yes non of us want to know that our parents at it. My DD thinks your past it at 25 so i'm sure she must believe the new baby was immaculate conception as im now 33. Anyhow let her sulk and ignore it any attention you give to such behaviour gives her the power If she wants to behave like a 2 yr old then let her you dont have to play along.

Off to attempt to read the rest , the best laugh I have had for ages :rotfl:

Really funny and interesting. What does the little girl want? mum and dad to be celibate? habaaaaaa!!
Me thinks it is an unusual reaction.
Maybe she needs to be admonished to adjust to reality. Surely at 14, she ought to know better. Perhaps a bit of speaking to.
Guess she would run back when she realises that Nan also has sex.....lol

    woody01,
If the parents are at it like a couple of rabbits and not caring who hears them, including their daughter, then it does show a certain lack of consideration for the daughter, and also dare i say it, lacks a bit of class.

If any of the parents here feel its OK for their children to hear them banging away, then you should be a little embarassed.

Woody, if you look back to the start of this thread i think you'll find the OP was not inconsiderate making noise and not caring that her daughter may hear her.
The OP stopped and waited when they heard the daughter going to the loo, it was only after a silence, when she thought her daughter had gone back to bed that they continued their fun. The daughter was sneaky and inconsiderate quietly listening outside her parents door.

Bide your time Chipstick, it cant be that long before you discover your daughter either:

    1. Doing the kitkat shuffle
    2. Or doing her Boyf or Gf is she is so inclined

These things blow over in due course, anyway as parents its your solemn duty to embarrass your children at every opportunity. Its the law :D
Long may your marriage be full of bed squeaking and sounds of pleasure.

I have been following this thread since discovering it yesterday and have managed to conceal my laughter as I'm sitting at my desk at work & so shouldn't be spending hours reading MSE forums, but that last comment DKLS has tears of laughter streaming down my face. Haven't heard the phrase kitkat shuffle for a long time!!
Be brave Chipstick, don't give in!!

awww bless big hug to you for this.

Sounds like your daughter is just being a bit of a madam atm, she's watched sex in the city they she knows the facts of life.

sounds like she was listening at the door, nosey madam.

ah well almost Friday, get the suitcase out of the loft and give it to her.

by the sound of things your children have grown up in a very loving family home, its a difficult hormonal time for her, thank god they grow up out of that one.
Life is about give and take, if you can't give why should you take?

Why are parents nowadays obsessed with what their children think of them? The parents seem to be permanently pandering to the wants of their children all the time in order to gain their approval. Are the parents so afraid of what their children will say about them, which will consequently be relayed to their friend's parents as a warning?
