When you have kids as we all know, you learn to adapt your sex life.
You can't on the other hand pretend it does'nt happen.
At 14 any young person knows that sex goes on and whether it's between their parents or not have to learn to accept and overlook it.
It's part of life.
Heavens my grandmother had 4 children in a two bedroomed house as a lot did then. Two of the children slept in her room. Her and my grandfather were still young and must have had sex in that room it certainly did'nt affect my uncle and aunt.I'm sure they must of woken up and caught them sometimes.
It's all a part of growing up.
You just have to be considerate and do what's appropriate for the situation.0 -
Maybe she should have a word with one of her friends who lives with parents who hate each other and do nothing but argue. She might then realise how lucky she is!
When i was 16, mum and dad went away for the weekend and I stayed at home. Decided to get the lads round to watch a hardcore !!!!!! film with a few cans........Didnt realise mum had asked my 65 yr old grandad to come and look in on me. Needless to say the sound of the key in the door made me jump to turn the channel over and he walked in to ten lads or so watching a program on gardening with the curtains shut at 2pm in the afternoon! Think he sussed me!0 -

I think you're letting your imagination run away with you a little here.

She needs to know its natural and adults do it all the time.
I agree the OP needs to talk to DD and explain all this to her, but if DD wont let her speak then what can OP do?
I mean the 11 year old understands what is going on and is totally fine with it, so the 14 years old is being totally immature!
Totally agree with this. To be honest I find it ridiculous the OP is now having their sex life being dictated by a child (although one that is nearly an adult). I think the DD needs to grow up - a firm but sympathetic response is needed here.
Whatever happens I think this isn't going to go away unless the OP and her DD has a full and frank discussion about the situation.0 -
I wonder if the 14 year old has found an excellent way of becoming the centre of attention.....0

...Last night me and my partner done what's natural....
I've not read all posts, so apologies if somebody has already mentioned this:
Is your partner dd's biological father? If not, how is their relationship? Is she over your break up with her father? Could it be that she is making a fuss because of her handling of this situation, rather than just the sex?
Just a thought. Good luck either wayMarching On Together
I've upped my standards...so up yours!0 -

can someone fill me in on avitars??Sorry to hijack the thread but the mention of bums had me caught off guard!
On topic, Your Daughter will get over it, although she may shudder in years to come as she recalls it! personally i have been MORE traumatised by my MIL almost catching us!!(am 27) but when i met my OH 5 years ago he still lived with his mum and dad. We were having a bit of rumpy pumpy ( a phrase my from school days!!) and I'm a real giggler so OH was tickling me. I was so shocked i lept off the bed taking him and the tangle of duvet with me!we collapsed on the floor banging against the radiator...His mum burst in with her hands over her eyes saying "I 'm not looking and i promise i don't know what you are up to but is everything alright??!!!!" She's a diamond bless her but i still nearly died on the spot! a few days later she brought some washing in an muttered under her breath "must repaint that wall to cover the scuff marks from the bed posts".Grimace!!!0
