If you are injured at the scene and require medical attention. I did not at the time suffer from any injury it was after the accident my neck and back got very sore. Have you had an accident before as it does happen.

out of interest, any of you experts know how fast a car would have to be travelling for the driver to sustain whiplash on a sudden stop/impact?
    :)

Foreman and Croft, two of the foremost authorities, cite empirical evidence of Cervical Acceleration-Deceleration Syndrome or "whiplash" injuries in ultra low velocity impacts.

Delta-V velocities of as little as 3 mph have been indicated in whiplash injuries that measured AIS-4 ("serious") on the Injury Severity Scale.

Of course, less severe whiplash is still common at closing speeds of 2 mph and lower, but these tend to result in claims for less than £5,000.

Well the woman I nudged at about 5-10 mph in her mothers motability car managed to get a claim through for £1,900........

For whiplash claims, 10 mph is considered to be a "high velocity impact".. Count yourself lucky that your negligence cost you so little.

I have removed this plea for help and advice as some people are hell bent on giving opinions on something they clearly know nothing about.

I have thanked the people that have helped and do appreciate it just cannot listen to anymore from chippy minton etc.

Teddy out of the pram or what?

Ask for advice and get given the correct information ie injury RTC needs to be reported to the police. Even quoted that themselves.

Don't like whats been said in an open forum so remove the post.:rotfl:

Well if this matter is defended by Royal Mail and the mater goes to court I'd love to see the OP throw her teddy then when it's not going her way.

Just thought I would let you all know that the Royal Mail have accepted liability for the accident as it should be and I have not been taken to court and had a huge fine and 8 penalty points added to my license.
