Since my original post back in May, I put 40 books on Greenmetropolis & I have sold none of them.
It seems to be a long wait to get to the top of the list, but at least it has cost me nothing to list them.0 -
i sold 5 in april but none in may!!! or june
(again about 40 books listed).
seems quite unpredictable, but, as OP says, costs nothing to listOf all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most.....0 -
I've about 50 listed and sell one a week on average. What goes? All sorts - from kiddies books to older textbooks to chiklit!
Its free quick and easy to list so give it a go!
MoamAlthough no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.
Snowball says too far away, working hard to bring it forward.0 -
I've had mixed results with Greenmet, don't sell loads but have sold a few that had been on Amazon for ages and not gone so that was good :j .
Another bonus with Greenmet is that you can add postage if its a heavy or big book [there's a drop down menu when you list]; if a book isn't on their data base you can add it unlike amazon where you can't unless you are ProMerchant; if you email them for any reason they reply quickly and its a person not an automated response [I emailed them when a heavy book didn't show any extra postage options & they added them on]; you can list book club editions that might not be in the Amazon catalogue etc etc.... OK so thats more than one bonus
Give it a go Teapot
Just had a look at my GM listings, I've sold 9 so far started in Nov 06 with about 20 listings and have added to them [often books that are only 1p on Amazon] now have 95 listed...0 -
I've had an email from Greenmetropolis today - saying that I've sold a book (First in ages!)
I posted it and logged into my account and noticed that there was another order listed from the 15th October! I definitely haven't had an email about that sale - I checked my spam box and there isn't anything from Greenmet!
Has anybody else had any problems with emails from Greenmet recently?0 -
Hi jo_b,
I haven't had that problem - in fact I've only had one sale from Greenmet in the last 2 months and that was yesterday.
I have actually been checking my account regularly just in case emails hadn't been getting through - but sadly that wasn't the case, just no salesAMAZON SELLERS CLUB member 0033 come and join us :j make some space and get hold of some cash, we're on the ebay and other auctions, car boot and jumble sales board0 -
Just posted this on the Amazon thread:
I've managed to sell the same book twice within the space of a week.
Today's sale was through Greenmetropolis - second sale in two days! Shame I sold the book on Amazon already
If anybody has got a copy lying around there's a buyer waiting on Greenmet!

I have sold one book in 5 months not ideal, but at least it costs nothing.
Does anyone know if sales pick up before Xmas or not?0 -
I have just signed up for Green Metropolis and have 2 questions: a) are you allowed to sell books that came as a special deal with magazines and say NOT FOR RESALE on the back and b) it states somewhere that I must dispatch a sold book within 3 days. What if I am on holiday for 14 days? Is there an option to temporarily disable the listings without removing them from the site altogether?Reclaimed thanks to this site:
