    Afternoon all :j

Trying to have a much better day today after several days of eating junk and not pointing. Really need to cut it off here as I know what I'm like - the few days will turn into a few weeks and I'll give up entirely! Went for a swim this morning and am trying to be good and stick to healthy food (and not raid the canteen at work  )

Snacks - one of my favourites at the moment is the 0% fat greek yoghurt. on WW it's 1pt a pot, plus 2tsp of honey for another point and as it's thick and creamy it satisfies me MUCH more than a mullerlight etc.

Fruit wise atm I'm loving cherries (courtesy of Aldi, normally I couldn't afford them), strawberries, and fresh apricots - apricots are only 1/2pt for 3!! Bargain :)

re. grow your own salad leaves - if you eat a lot and/or don't have a lot of room, try just growing something spicy/really flavourful like rocket, and mixing with supermarket's cheapest basic lettuce. That way I think you get more interesting salads for less ££.

I ate a (quite large) cake sample at lunchtime, the shame! :( I'm off to put my tasty HM soup in the microwave before I get tempted by anything else.

lightisfading - thanks for the snack tips. I love low fat GY, but usually buy the stuff with 2.7% fat. Not as good as the 0% stuff but a lot cheaper! Tesco do a 500g tub for 98p and it is yummy. Stay away from the 11% fat stuff though!!!

I am definitely going to get some salad seeds.

I know, the 0% stuff is very expensive :( However the regular lower fat one is still 2-3 pts for a small tub - then double that if I buy a large multiserve tub (as I'm incapable of portion control!) and add honey.. turns into a lot of points very quickly O-o more than I can justify for yoghurt anyway :D chocolate is far nicer LOL
  • Ah - another rubbish effort from me today - I just can't seem to get back into it at all!

    B: Nada
L: Mixed fruit (starter) Roasted chicken in mustard and whiskey sauce (Not great, but I avoided the potatoes and just had carrots on the side)
S: 4 Thorntons Choccie's (Well, they were part of my leaving pressie - It'd be rude not to! ;))
D: Solero Ice Lolly, 4 Cracker breads (Spread with extra light flora) and 1/2 pint of milk

I'm now a wee bit hungry since I've not had a proper dinner - very tempted to have a slice of toast - but also very conscious that tomorrow morning is the first of the 2 big WI's - you feeling nervous Binky? I am!

Almost made it for a swim tonight - went for a final fitting of my bridesmaid dress en route though - and it took longer than I thought, which meant that since OH was on night shift there wasn't enough time - so we went to visit my big bro instead!

Ah well - tomorrow I'm doing a tour of my branches to say good bye to everyone before I finish up on Friday - so I might have a wee minor skive, and go for a run/swim in the afternoon - since I have my salsa class at night - I defo won't be able to go then!

    xx

    Evening all!

I ate a scone with butter at work this afternoon, was in a meeting and had no willpower. :o In effort to make up for it, I had salad for dinner and went for a two-hour walk (so that's 3 hours walking in total today). :j Then I came home starving and ate a slice of bread with Nutella! Ah well. At least I did all the walking to make up for it. I'm going to bed shortly and will not snack any more!

crapwithmoney, definitely try to fit in a wee skive tomorrow!! :T Are you changing jobs?

    I nearly forgot - today's food:

    2 oatcakes (90 cals)
300g low fat Greek yog (240 cals)
Cake sample (probably about 200 cals)
HM veg soup (no idea but prob about 200 cals)
    HM bread (100 cals?)
Scone with butter (dread to think! 400 cals?)
Salad (not sure - about 250 cals?)
    Orange (50 cals?)
    Bread with Nutella (250+ cals)

Not great. It is probably good for me to 'confess' and post my food intake here so I will improve! That's what I'm telling myself anyway. So if I could cut out the cake, scone & butter and the bread & Nutella, I would be fine!

  • Tara - No, not changing jobs as such. I'm going back to uni in August (hoping to be a teacher!), I've been working 2 jobs since about February, so I'm leaving the f/time one on Friday, and just keeping the p/time one on for now - which gives me about 7 weeks "break" before I start my course!

Anyways - suppose I'd better get out of bed and go get weighed and ready! :D Here's to a better day than yesterday!

Yay - weighing in at 9stone 12lbs today - which means 2lbs off since last Wednesdays WI! Whoo hoo!! - Probably mostly fluid since it's no longer TOTM - but I'll take any loss when I can get it!! :T:j

Oh - and started the day off well with some Porridge and s/skimmed milk and a pint of water - just need to keep it up for the rest of the day now!
