Hi everyone
Well I've weighed in and am ready to start. I also have a large amount to lose, in the past its been too daunting, but I really need to do something, so any tips, hints etc to make the process easier will be greatly appreciated.
Had a look at the Aitken's diet, but as OH has high cholesterol I can't see it being suitable. Well, off to have coffee ( no milk or sugar grrr)
Have a great day everyone0 -
Good evening ladies, sorry I have hardly been around at all. I have been having some problems with OH and I think we might finally be breaking up, so I have been miserable and totally rubbish at diet and exercise - and am currently back to where I started in Jan (more or less). I will try to pick myself up and get back on the wagon. Well done to you all, I read some of the thread and you are doing so well xoxoGet to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs

I have lost 3 lbs this week (5 in total this month), am v pleased, even though some of it may be due to dehydration after a large amount of alcohol at a party yesterday!
Tara, I am so sorry to hear of your personal problems, hope it all works out for you ((hugs)) xxx. Although it's hard at the best of times, staying in control of your eating can make you feel more in control of your life in general, even when other things are out of your control. Your weightloss stats in your signature are fantastic, you have done so well this year :T0 -
Evening all, over the stomach bug now but ravenous so have been very good with eating today (polishes halo!) but I am going to have to go to bed soon because all I can think about is the Wispa sat in the cupboard.
Well done to all losers this week.
Tara - sorry to hear you are having problems, hope things work out in the best way they can for you
Kiwi - the only tip I can give you is to make sure you are eating enough, its so easy to eat too little when you start off and it will actually slow your loss and make it easier to fall off the wagon as you get hungry.
If you are a chocoholic like me I have a small bar every day. I know this doesnt work for some but I have tried to cut it out completely and ended up having a mad binge so I have a little bit a day x xPay Debt by Xmas 16 - 0/12000

Thanks girls, you are very kind. buyitall, I only lost 3kg this year and I think I've actually put them back on! You're right though - if I can control my eating I won't feel so bad.

Thanks Dragon. I am currently weighing up my options, think he wants to stay in the house (and I might not be able to afford it on my own anyway) so I have a lot to think about. He was the one who initiated the split and then he texted this morning to say that he doesn't want us to break up. The thing is, I have already got a little bit used to the idea and I feel a strange sense of relief. So I'm not sure what to do.Get to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs

Bit pee'd off with myself today, had a great day yesterday til about 7pm and then got snack attack so think I went about 5pts over (was planning on being 5 under!).
Anyways, re exercise dvds.. I just got one by the girl who used to be in Casualty - anyone remember her? The secretary type person.. big girl.. anyway she's dropped about 12st. Some people on the WW board recommended her dvd as being good for the cronically unfit like moiI've got it at home and will let you all know her name if anyone's interested. And let you know if it's any good once I actually get it out the packaging (have to get OH out of the living room!)

Hey guys,
Sorry - it's been a pretty busy week, so I haven't been on much (It was my b/day last Wed, and the celebrations just seemed to drag on a bit!)
Tara - I'm so sorry to hear you've been having it tough with the mano! I'm sure you'll figure out what's best for you though, you seem to be pretty focussed and together so I'm sure you'll only come out the other end even stronger! It's always a hard one knowing if it's the right thing to do when you're breaking up with someone - but I suppose only time will tell! is it poss for you both to live separately even for a while and maybe start "dating" again? (That's if you actually want to give it another go that is!)
Hope you're all having a good day - well done on all the losses guys - you're all doing really well!
Last week was an absolute blow out for me, but I've been doing ok since yesterday - 17 days 'til I jet off to Mexico, so I'm having a last ditch effort between now and then!
Got a last try on of my bridesmaid's dress tonight (and a dress rehearsal with the hair dresser) - I'm praying to god that it still fits!!

16 days till i go away and i'm wondering realistically how much i can lose by then. The only factor i can change is exercise because i don't think i can get my calories down anymore without starving to death! i think i will have to try for an hour gym and an hour swim each day not sure if that will be too much. Have been watching the biggest loser on itv and they seem to exercise something like 5 hours a day so surely i can manage 2 hours?0
