Well done everyone who has lost :T! I'm a bit disappointed but not surprised, I have stayed the same. But I had two nights out this weekend with quite a lot of drinking which isn't exactly good for weight loss! At least I've not put on I suppose, I will try extra hard this week.

Haven't weighed in yet today, Boyf is still asleep so can't put the light on in the bedroom.

Going to his parents for a week tomorrow, so I think the diet and exercise is going to go out of the window slightly, his mum always tries to feed me up .

It's a lovely sunny day here so I'm going to go for a run later, having mushrooms with garlic and lemon juice on toasted pitta bread for lunch, and going out for a curry tonight - i'll be having chicken tikka (no creamy sauce) with a small salad, boiled rice and NO POPADOMS (sp?) or NAAN BREAD. Bread is my downfall, along with cheese.

    Love to everyone

bread and cheese are also my downfall. If you do cave in when you go for a curry then go for the popadoms much lower calorie than the naan bread i think, thats what i always do anyway

Hi :hello: lightisfading and kiwiblue and welcome to the gang!! I'm in the same boat as you and need to lose at least 10 stone  - been on a diet now since the end of january and have lost 3st 1lb. So there is hope for us all (including you dragon :D don't know if i could handle your weight fluctuations ).

Anyway, weigh in for me this morning, to be honest not had a good week food/exercise wise, and had a tummy bug on friday, so (was on the loo most of the day and only managed to keep down 2 pieces of taost and a couple of glasses of plain water) wasn't expection to lose but either sts or gain, but very pleased to say that i lost another 3lb's!! Really am genuinely shocked at how it still keeps coming off  but VERY glad that it does! :D.

So, now that means i'm through my 3 stone barrier and am well pleased with myself, not done as well as some on here though - well done all you big loser's - in the nicest way :rotfl:!!!

Anyway, expecting a thunderstorm here very soon (when the school gates open  ) so got to get LM waterproofed as hubby has the buggy in the back of the car, and it takes twice as long to get anywhere as he likes to jump off everyones doorstep on the way .

Have a good day everyone and stay good (if possible) and sorry for the long post :p and use of nearly all the smilie's!

I have to say I'm kinda glad there are some others on this thread that have to loose a similar amount to me. :D  :rotfl:

I hope your feeling better now poshstock! Good luck with the weather too!

I just looked out of the window at work and it looks like its absolutely tipping it down - I think I need to find a dry alternative to upping my walking levels as there is no way I'm walking for ~an hour in that to make my steps up! It looks like thunder and lightening are imminent! Anyone know of any not too "jumpy" fitness DVDs suitable for the horrifically unfit? I was looking at a Davina one but I have no clue... Which is best? I have a couple of pilates ones but am looking for something with at least a bit of cardiovascular stuff too.

i have davina's complete body workout and also her 3 30 minute workout dvd's. I have never been one to stick at doing dvds as i find them too complicated to follow and although the davina one is tough i have been able to stick with it and because most of it is repeated throughout it is fairly easy to follow and get used to doing it. there is someone alongside her doing the easier version of each section and if there are any jumpy bits which my large chest disagrees with then i just do something else i am more comfortable with to keep my heart rate up. It doesn't really matter what you do so long as you get your heart rate up and keep it up you will be burning calories.

I've heard loads of people liking the Davina dvd's, I might have to invest. Do you think they'd be okay for someone in a flat with very noisy floors? I don't want to be jumping up and down on my downstairs neighbours heads for half an hour at a time :o

Weigh in was okayish, lost a pound. I think once I get back from Ireland and get on the Gmtv diet it might help, as I'm useless without structure. Had a sneaky look at soem of the recipes and they look nice, salmon caeser salad and things yum yum.

Binky - thanks for the note on naan vs poppadoms, it's the amount of oil they are cooked in that makes me

Love and healthy vibes to everyone

  • Hello all xx

I weighed in yesterday and as its totm I'm the same as last week which I was surprised about, I normally stack on about 3 lbs during this lovely week. I haven't stuffed myself with chocolate either as I usually do so maybe that's why! :o I've had the cramps from hell this last couple of days, and have hardly got out of bed (just as well I work from home) so virtually no exercise.

Welcome newbies :hello: and well done to all who have lost weight this week :T

Carol I have one of Davina's dvds and am always completely paranoid about doing jumps as I live on the 2nd floor, but doing the easier section means no jumps and to be honest that still gives you a fab workout just doing that. I have asthma so I can't do anything really vigorous anyway without needing 10 inhalers, and like binky I'd have 2 bruised eyes if I tried doing star jumps!! :rotfl:

I've just had dinner (sausage casserole and veggies) and was planning to go for a nice big long walk but those clouds look really menacing and I just know I'll get caught in a thunderstorm, so might have to settle with doing my yoga dance dvd later.

Have a good evening peeps whatever you're upto xxxxx
