Hi everyone, i've never posted in this thread before but i'm needing a bit of support! :(

I've lost 8 pounds in about 3-4 weeks recently which was great. I have about 3 stones to lose overall and i'm trying to be sensible by eating 1200cals a day and working out at the gym 3 times a week.

I haven't done anything different this week but have managed to put two pounds on! It's really bugging me because this is when i start to lose motivation because i kinda wonder why is it worth all of this work when i end up putting weight on!!!

Anyone got any advice or ideas to help kick start the weightloss again? Or any insight into why i've put two flippin pounds on?! haha

Hi KK22 and welcome to the group!

This may seem a daft question but are you eating enough? With three stone to lose 1,200 kcals seems a tad low to me - I am losing weight on 2,500 kcals a day (okay I have over 10 stone to lose!), if I go badly under that I put weight on

    Hi,

thanks for the welcome! I had been advised to eat 1200kcals a day when i went to Scottish Slimmers (don't go to SS anymore) so that is what i have been sticking to but i do see your point. At this stage, i'm reluctant to up my calorie intake in case that isn't what the problem is and i end up putting on more weight lol

Hmm have you tried putting your details into calorie count? I suspect you may be allowed to eat more! You may put on weight for a couple of weeks (or so) whilst your body adjusts BUT I suspect in the long run it may be better for you (and as you lose weight they automatically adjust your daily allowance :D)

  • Evening!

just a quick note to say I changed my tea and it was sooo nice! I had everything I had planned to but without the cucumber, replaced that with green olives and mushrooms fried in a hot sauce, followed by a punnet of rasperries yummmmm!

    Welcome KK22 :D!

Hey everyone! I had friends round last night so ended up drinking a bottle of wine (each!) and eating loads of crisps and dips, but I'm just back from my run so hopefully that might almost cancel out last nights indulgences!

Kindofagilr, I bet you'll have a good weigh-in next week, don't worry about it. And don't let it put you off having another good week! In fact, once you go to the loo you might be 2lbs lighter :rotfl:! And well done on stopping smoking!

After a good week last week I am not so happy this week - 2 pounds back on  - the only thing that has changed is I have been back on the pain medication - I am so fed up of being fat :cry:

    Hi folks
I've been quite good with food, and done lots of walking over the last couple of days, so I'm feeling good. Ooh and we had spag bol for dinner, made from scratch for the very first time with carrots, celery, mushrooms, lean mince, garlic and fresh basil. Put some cheese on which was not so good, but tasted goooood. Gym and swim tomorrow.
I've joined the GMTV bikini diet, but I'm away for a week from Tuesday so will be starting a week late. No idea if it will work, but had a glance at the shopping list and it looks quite nice.
    Hope you are all well
