well done dragon :T i must say you are very disciplined to only weigh yourself once a week, i think i manage it everytime i go to the toilet!

Um binky the reason I am only weighing in once a week is that I am currently too heavy for the bathroom scales :o

Had a look at the Aitken's diet, but as OH has high cholesterol I can't see it being suitable.

Hi, sorry to jump in in the middle of the thread, but i'm low carbing and all the research i've read actually points to it being good for cholesterol levels.

Good day for me today - I was having one of those days when you just want to eat, and eat, and eat... but managed to control the craving and have used 14 pts out of 29 - only two above my 'end of work' normal.

Annnd... I finally got the dvd package open and the OH kicked out of the living room and did some exercise! 20 mins of the Rebecca Wheatley 'The New Me' dvd I mentioned earlier. It's fab and definitely suitable for newbies/fatties/thehideouslyunfit (ie me!).. though my coordination could use some work :D It's the first time I've exercised in the last 3 stone of weight (and that wasn't much LOL) so can't be too hard! :j (edit: oh, and no jumpy bits!! not in the first half of it anyway !)

You can get it for about a fiver all inc from Amazon marketplace sellers so not bad on the MSE front either! link

    How is everyone doing today?

I've got that rebecca wheatly dvd hanging around somewhere too, i'd forgotten about it. I agree about it being a good one for people just starting out, its not too strenuous but you still know you've done something by the end of it.

Evening all - I stayed the same today at weigh in, bit disappointed as 1lb would have been my 3 1/2 stone award but I lost 2lb last week and its my star week so probably settling down at about 1lb a week now which I am happy with, hoping for a loss next week so on my best behaviour now! x x

    Hi all,
I have only lost 1lb this week, but at least i'm going in the right direction...
Have been trying to exercise but DD is teething at the min and up all night so my energy levels are zero ( thats my excuse and i'm sticking with it ;))
but have been trying to get out walking more now the weather is good, and pushing a pram up hills feels like a complete work out !!
So hopefully I will lose 2lb next week?!?!?:j

well i can no longer eat at all because my tongue is absolutely covered in ulceers and the skin feels raw and i've got a sore throat, the pain is horrendous. Everything i've been eating the past few days tasted weird this is obviously why so i think a trip to see the doctor is in order, the pain is so bad a resorted to taking ibuprofen but it hasn't worked and bonjela just isn't doing anything to help.
So i'm guessing i'll be on a mainly liquid diet today so might dig out the slim fast for this morning and lunch and hope my mouth feels a bit better in time for dinner tonight.

Binky, you should get some Corsodyl mouthwash, that will help a lot.

yes you're probably right but everytime i have it it makes me want to throw up the taste is awful! I do suffer alot with bleeding gums too but i can't get an nhs dentist in my area at the moment so i'm stuck with them but luckily it seems to come and go. i didn't think till just now that maybe the problems were related because i haven't ever suffered with ulcers before but i suppose they could be.
one good thing is at least i can't eat much!
  • binky - try getting yourself some soluble aspirin from the chemist and gurgling it - that's what the pharmacist gave me the last time I had tonsilitis.

It tastes absolutely horrendous - but it really does help

No exercise for me last night :o I was totally pooped, yet again! Ended up cuddling up with OH and watching rubbish TV instead!

Foodwise i was ok though, and so far all I've had today is a banana, yoghurt and cup of peppermint tea - I'm really thirsty though, so gonna go get some water down me! :D

    Happy slimming everyone

    xx
