Today can't get any worse. A shelf in the s**t piece of furniture that calls itself a sideboard collapsed this morning and smashed two of the teacups from my 1930s tea service. Worse still, I also lost a bone china cup and saucer that belonged to my grandmother. I've been sitting here in floods of tears for the last 20mins. Honestly, I am sooooo angry. Just because I can't afford to buy a place I have to rent somewhere with cheap Argos tat that falls apart and breaks things that are irreplacable. I am never, ever renting another furnished place again. From here on in I'm buying my own stuff - and it's not coming from Argos.0

My bad news is that I have fallen off the MSE wagon big time this month. I've been so good in the past, but this month I've been terrible and bought so much stuff I just don't need.
I've even been staying away from here because I'm ashamed of my spending.October make £10/day currently £11.020 -

Well welcome back! Ive found the more time I spend here, the less time I spend spending.... Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -

Oh my gosh that's awful! :-O I'm really sorry to hear that, stupid cheap furnitureThey don't make proper furniture like they used to any more
Ikea are just as bad as Argos too IMHO. The best furniture is real wood, hand crafted and has stood the test of time for a hundred years and has been well looked after. You just can't go wrong with that!
I'm sorry to hear it smashed your tea cups, is it possible maybe you could get them professionally repaired or something by an expert in the craft? Of course they wouldn't be perfect but at the back of a display cabinet maybe nobody would notice. Still, it's not the same

Maybe you'll feel better if you list all the things you splurged on and listen to everyone tell you off (in the nicest possible way) so you aren't tempted to do it again?0 -

hi folks, my bad news is that im back to work today in approx an hour and a half, after a year of work (mat leave) im actually dreading going back if it wasnt for the debts i have i dont think i would have bothered going back. I suppose im feeling mixed emotions at the moment sad cause my baby went to nursery for the first time today and im back too, i think its too much for one day, but hey i guess the quicker i pay off those debts the quicker i can give up work0
