I switched to Scottish Power to save £12 a month (and get £22 back from GreasyPalm) to then end up with a final reading bill of £159 to pay this month from Powergen for my gas and electricity!

Ahh just got back from a relaxing weekend and I feel much better today. In a way, after reading through their response several times I realised more and more problems with their defence and they've also shot themselves in the foot by actually admitting they do owe me some money. Meh
Feel tired now though

:eek: Hi Keren29, that's the reason I am unable to change gas/electricity suppliers at the mo - have come out of winter quarter owing £182 on electricity and £123 on gas - ouch!!

Ah Amosworks, glad you had a nice weekend, it sounds like you deserve it!

It's horrible when you just want something sorted and you think you are getting somewhere and then a spanner gets thrown in the works. :mad:

It sounds like everything will work out ok for you with respect to the tribunal though so just try and stay positive...easier said than done I know!

Yeah Turnaround and Keren, that's what I mean about there only being money around when you've got it i.e. to switch energy suppliers and SAVE money + get cash back - you must first of all HAVE some money to SPEND!! Its all backwards......

Why do all the crap money related letters always come on Friday....when you cant do anything about them until Monday so you have to spend the whole weekend worrying about it....I really hate that...

Aww thanks for your kind support, I don't know where I'd be without the people here at the moment. Everyone is so good at keeping everyone else in check it's such a great community

The one thing debt knows it can't do to a lot of us is take away out real happiness and stop us from putting a brave face on. Maybe it's just one in their arsenal of tactics designed to try and keep us all under the thumb
