Exactly my thoughts Kanga - sounds like theirs a huge missunderstanding of the system somewhere in the Co-op! I too thank the Co-op for allowing me an account - I just want to be able to spend my money when I want and in the shop I want! Is that too much too ask?

Ironically, it's the larger organisations that are likely to slower at updating their systems. Smaller retailers will have their terminals updated by their merchant bank. Larger retailers have their own systems which will probably involve Visa contacting someone in finance, finance contacting someone in operations, operations contacting someone in IT and so on. I guess some retailers will be quicker than others. This is, of course, assuming that it is a matter than Visa can resolve without new cards having to be issued.

We've waited this long. There are only a few places that don't accept Electron. Frustrating but at least we know we'll get a proper working Visa Debit card soon.

Well hopefully since a number of us have recently contacted Tesco about this issue they "might" get their fingers out of their ****'s and do something when they are contacted by visa or co-op or whoever tells them but I won't be holding my breath on this one:mad:

Tesco obviously and as we have seen in the press are now so big and making so much money that they dont car about or need the custom as as said before loads of people have contacted them about this and they have done nothing but fob people off. Which is why i moved to Asda and wont change now as i get more for my pennies.

We use Asda more than tesco now too. Their customer service is much better as well as them being generally cheaper!

Must be me I've tried Asda twice and I hated their website, I ended up paying more and not getting half of what I wanted and on top of that they decided to deliver my shopping at my back gate rather than at the front of the house - looks like Sainsburys for me at the moment!

Not necessarily - it may be that you aren't on the electoral register, or something minor - many people who have been referred get an account.
