J & R wedding chair covers

I got married on the 27th June this year.
I met J&R at the SWFC Ground wedding fair in March and couldn't resist what seemed to be a bargain at £1 per chair cover. After trying to call this company numerous times I decided to check out their website. I had absolutley no contact from them bar an invoice checking to see if I had paid... which I had.... in full. Due to me not being able to contact them I decided to just let it go and if they turned up great, if not.. well... its just chair covers. It could be worse.... it could be my dress!!! Anyway, on the day, it turned out they had turned up and I've got to say they did look really beautiful, but there is absolutley no way I would recommend this company to any bride on the run up to their big day, you're stressed enough and this sort of thing can tip you over the edge of sanity!
I have noticed today however, that they have gone out of business.
I've got to add though, having done the big day thing now. Chair covers, on the day really don't matter, just like the weather, you're on cloud nine the whole day and nothing can spoil it. All you brides who have booked with J and R don't worry, worse things can happen enjoy every minute of your very special day. xx

i have booked j and r also paid in full now cant get intouch with them cant believe this getting married in december this is all i need lost £205 im gutted i know its not alot to some people but could do with out it if anyones got any ideas how i can get it back because i dont think its fair shes getting away with everyones money !

I have heard that they are now "trading" under another name. New website is up and running. As it is something I have heard third party I guess I shouldn't give out the name, but a simple google search for j and r wedding chair covers throws up a couple of headings relating to this. Hope this helps get your money back.

No one actually knows for sure this is the same company.

I know brides on another site who have phoned the number on the new company website, screaming abuse down the phone without checking facts.

I think if you are going to post "I have heard" information as above, you need to be pretty sure of your facts.

I am a bride who was expecting her J & R chair covers to arrive today as it happens for my wedding on Sunday. Of course they haven't come and I doubt they will now, but doesn't mean I am going to harrass a company when I have no idea if they are connected or not.

Did I make a definate statement that they where the same company...I think not! my posting clearly stated that as I heard third party I would not give out the name, surely this leaves anyone affected to do their own research!
Strange that you are so protective towards them, when you don't expect your covers to turn up.
There is a lesson to be learnt here, buy cheap and you buy twice...home work needs to be done on these new companies that keep popping up with cheap prices. I can name two companies that were definate scams and there will be others, sadly these sick sort of people will always be about and in these times of recession they will be taking advantage.

we had a fab day, how lovely to be asked! would love to share piccies, especially of our replacement and better quality chair covers! haha not quite sure how on here though?
