CDA Kitchen Appliances

New kitchen fitted in June 2016. Built in freezer faulty from the start. So far 2 engineers visits have failed to resolve. Engineer initially claimed kitchen fitter hadn't fitted properly which he had. This was easily established by reading CDA's fitting instructions. Was told after 2nd visit that if work carried out didn't resolve they would replace only to be told later further repairs would be carried out. Awaiting 3rd visit of engineer currently. If this fails to cure the problem I'll be seeking a full refund using this legislation http://www.which.co.uk/consumer-rights/shopping?gclid=CLKWnLnMgc8CFeQp0wodLBkLoA
The attitude of customer services is worse that the quality of their appliances. I've had an engineers visit booked in that I didn't even know about. Apparently I would have been called the day before but as the visit was booked on a Monday I feel a call on Sunday was unlikely. When I asked for another visit for either a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday a not so helpful Lois offered me another Monday.... Clearly not listening.
Like most people on here I suspect I could go on and on but in summary.... STAY WELL CLEAR OF CDA they're hopeless on all levels.
If you're having a new kitchen fitted have the foresight to ask the kitchen company what make of appliances are to be fitted. We wish we had. We'd have spent more and had Bosch fitted.... Never had a single problem with any of their appliances in 20 years.0 -

So, after saying the above I never actually got round to cancelling the CDA cooker hood and we've been using it for just over a year. Actually it's been fine up to now with the only niggle being some of the symbols above the buttons are starting to wear off.0 -
Tell you what....
CDA may not be the *best* make out there and built to a cost, but consider this. Complaints usual get plastered all over the internet about stuff and a pattern builds quickly. For this thread to only have 4 pages long and 73 posts (not all complaints) for the amount of kit they push out the door, it cant all be bad!0 -
We bought a cda American fridge freezer. We had problems with the ice dispenser which was never rectified over a 12 month period a 2nd replacement appliance had the same problem. After threatening legal action we finally got a refund. We eventually bought a Hisence and the difference in quality was astounding and it was £600 cheaper.0

Hi, I'm new to this forum. I choose what refrigerator to buy - I can not choose .. And what kind of refrigerator did you choose for yourself?0
-
Hi, I stopped at a few refrigerators. Now we need to decide which one to buy.0

What brands do you prefer for making refrigerators?0
-
Not recommended.
I have Oven. hob, Microwave...
They all feel pretty cheap and don't perform that well at all.
The oven has been repaired 3 times in 6 months and has failed again.
I have asked CDA to replace it but that wont be considered until has failed again (that would be the 5th time!)
At this rate I can see it being thrown in the bin and replaced with a better unit and put down to experience.

A simple repair for fridge freezer took me more than 20 phone calls -- and each call required holding for about 15 mins whatever time of day I called, listening to the same awful tinny musical theme.
My appliance was eventually repaired 5 weeks later! The job was outsourced to repair-care, which were even worse than CDA. I recommend you consider another brand - don't buy CDA.
PS I now have one of those "ear worms" - can't get the holding tinny music out of my head!0 -
