No NOT buy CDA products. They are unsafe, don't last more than 6 months and customer care is horrendous.

The inner glass panel within the oven I purchased from CDA 6 months ago, overheated and shattered, missing me by less than half a meter.

This would be especially dangerous for anyone with an infant in the house.

Add to this their atrocious customer care. It takes two days to send the panel to an engineer who then can not do the installation for 10 days.

CDA won't even confirm a time when the engineer will come, only that it will be any time between 8am-5pm.

Of course they only work Monday to Friday, apparently that is the most efficient way of working - Customer convenience be damned. Only looking out for their bottom line.

Being a contractor this means loss of income on top of nearly having my legs shredded.

But as long as CDA don't lose money, they don't care if their customers are injured or lose income.

Read the countless complaints on the internet and save yourselves from these terrible products and company

  • Really interested to read the lame response from CDA following the comments here. I have also had a hideous five weeks trying to get my dishwasher fixed. Three engineer visits (and by the way CDA you DON'T handle everything yourself and you DO outsource, I know this because we are being dealt with by Appliance FX who you outsource to. They can't do anything because you either send the wrong part or because they have to report back to your technical team who then make the decisions without ever seeing the appliance). We too are out of pocket by £89, have a broken appliance which you won't replace because the 5 year warranty is worth nothing and have been messed around and ignored no end by your customer services team.

So to say that the comments on here are old and things have been addressed is just more nonsense. I'm reading comments from several years ago and they're pretty much describing word for word my current situation.

Unfortunately we have 5 CDA appliances in our kitchen, all of which have broken. We haven't even been here 3 years, but we have had to replace the microwave, as it was more expensive to repair than replace, the dishwasher has just had to be repaired, the wine cooler is broken beyond repair (they have a sealed gas unit, which once it goes is unable to be repaired), and I've had to replace the seal on one of the ovens, the other oven also needs the same doing.

I would NEVER buy CDA. As the appliances were already in the house when we moved in, they were not registered, and even though CUSTOMER SERVICE agreed that they were under 5 years old (they can tell by the serial number) they would not agree to any kind of warranty or good will gesture.

I'm not after freebies, but I do think that when someone has 5 appliances of yours, that ALL break down, customer service should be doing something to help :-|
  • CDA sells poor quality products backed up by even poorer customer service.

We were unfortunate enough to have 4 CDA Applicances in our new kitchen. Shortly after 2 years the microwave oven broke and we decided to buy a new one to avoid the costly labour call out charge. After 5 months the new replacement microwave broke and we have now been waiting 5 weeks for a repair. The customer service is ghastly.

Of the other products that we are unfortunate to own the (expensive) induction hob has an intermittent fault which means it has to be reset by switching off at the mains before each use and the steam oven no longer works - we just don't use it.

If you can, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE avoid this company at all costs. The products look ok but they are not built to last and are of very dubious quality.

    Nightmare........

not got a hood but cda washer-dryer is to be avoided in my experience.... doesn't fully empty when washed so u take stuff out that's still soaking wet & has to be spun again.

also takes at least 1hour to get stuff dry
