MOJ are allowing it. If more people complain there may be an investigation like with Cartel.

Can I just ask those who are pursuing claims through their credit card companies - are these the same credit cards you were hoping were going to be unenforceable and would not have to pay back in the first place?

I read that one company (not this one) was encouraging people to put their charges onto the cards. Never thought of it like that.

Yes, they told me to put the charge on the credit card so that it would eventually be written off. Fraudulent? I'm not sure but they suggested it. I'm actually glad they did because it means under Section 75 you can claim it back if you have.

A quick update to help those who are claiming back using their credit card companies for paying Seven Marketing. I've sent my claim off to Barclays and received the a response saying that they are "sorry that so far we have been unable to resolve your complaint to your satisfaction".

In my speak that means: "we're stalling for time".

They've said they'll get back in touch with me on the 21st April 2010 but I personally think they'll find some excuse. In the next few days I'm going send off another letter to them to remind them that if they do not provide a satisfactory reply i.e. refund in full that I am legally due then I'll be forwarding my complaint to the Financial Ombudsman - that should get their !!!!!! in gear...

Did they perhaps know that you paid the money to a firm to in effect get your card written off perhaps and they could see that as fraud perhaps or akin to as you suggested above (don't know )? You said you were advised by the claim firm to do it I know but still don't know really how a bank would view that.

I bet they know what has gone on with lots of these claims companies (lots from Cartel are putting in section 75 claims for fees back) and working out a solution to what they do with these claims. I read the same on another site about Barclays too.

    Good luck
