I too stupidly paid the £199.00 and decided straight away within 3 days that I wanted a refund. I called them up and I spoke to a useless waste of space named Gemma who said she has authorised a refund. 2 weeks passed and I still did not receive my cheque. Approximately 50 phone calls later and I still have not received it. I have left so many messages it's untrue and it's driving me insane. They have a stupid answer phone now that asks for a password that I have never received and they also say their offices are open between 9-5 and when i call within these hours it says they are closed!! I'm getting really worried that i'm not going to get my money back as i really can't afford to lose £200!!
Is there anyone who has managed to get a refund?? And if so how did you manage it!! HELP I really need advice!!
Many thanks

Hello Jenn.
Please read through the thread, that’s if you haven’t already, then ring The Ministry of Justice and they will advise you to write and recording your letter to 7 Marketing Ltd; asking them for your monies back, you are allowed to claim your money back because there is a 14 days cooling off period after you receiving and return the information pack back to 7 Marketing, the MOJ will advise you of what next to do if they don’t return your lolly? Legally. you will get your money back! I too have been through this procedure, and after writing, Simon Fowler rang me, on speaking to him I have decided once again to chance 7 Marking Ltd; because Simon spoke a lot of sense, and I fell confident now on letting 7 Marketing Ltd; acting for me! Of course you could do it your self, by goggling it and following the procedures laid down, it’s a little complicated though.
I will keep this forum informed of any progress, it could take a while!
If I were you, I would for peace of mind, write and ask for my money back, and wait for Simon to call you.

From experience, I would continue to discourage ANYONE from going with 7Marketing. They are absolutely useless. Simon talks a very good game - I know, I have been on the receiving end and was totally sucked in - but he, and the rest of 7's cronies, cannot deliver. There are other, better, claims management firms who are better and who do not charge a penny.
Write and request your payment back and cc the letter to the Ministry of Justice. MOJ have rec'd scores of complaints about these cowboys.0 -

No, I dealt with 7Marketing during the course of this reclaim (Oct 08 - June 09) and they were monumentally useless and caused me to lose precious time with the case. I "sacked" them and complained to the MOJ and then took my case to a different claims management firm (recommended by another MSE user) and it was them who found out about Bespoke and received the final response from them.0 -

Grrr....! They are sooo frustrating! They make it soo difficult for you to get back in contact with them.
I too fell victim of this mis-sell and am now using HayleyJ's method (thanks Hayley!) for reclaiming my fees back.
Problem is, I need some information off them so I can start reclaiming the money back myself.
I have sent the letter off to MoJ by recorded delivery so hopefully in a few weeks I will get a refund.
I paid £199.99 for admin fee.
£75 for 5 different credit card statements.
Then they sent me a new pack to fill out which is using a new bunch of solicitors called legalredress who want to take 30% of the winnings. Not only did 7 Marketing ask me to pay a one off no-win-no-fee £199.99 and that's it, but now they are cancelling that agreement and asking me to sign a new one which means that what I paid them was just to facilitate them getting the information together for this other legal company. Then that legal company would get 30%. SICK!!
I hope this all works, I hope they get put down (but obviously after I get my money back from them)!0 -
I have had an Alliance and Leicester PPI claim handled sucessfully through 7 marketing but with hindsight I think I could have done this one myself but my larger claim was with 7 marketing and then passed onto Legal redress who have decided that their software is not able to do the workings out because of the 4 month break I had at the beginning of the loan.......strange as the initial cold caller was able to work it out and was adamant that this loan had a case?0
