Just to update you on the latest Saga with 7 Marketing.

I eventually managed to get a hold of them today after trying to call them for the last week. Their obnoxious, rude and sarcastic Customer Services "Supervisor", Laura, called me today and I advised that as 7 had not acted in accordance with our original agreement, i.e. arrange for a solicitor to review my case to establish if it could be progressed for a reclaim, I wanted her to refund the original admin fee of £99. She said that they would not do this, as they have apparently now managed to find another solicitor who would take on my case instead - but I would have to pay a further £600 up front! I advised that this would clearly not be on the original "no win no fee" basis, so I reiterated again that our agreement had not been honoured, therefore, I should get my money back. I also advised that the reclaim figure quoted in their last letter was hugely out - they claim that I am due back over £18k on PPI but it is actually nearer £8k - and that it was becoming apparent that they really didn't know what they were doing. She then became very annoyed at me and asked me how would I know what I was talking about if I wasn't a solicitor!! It was in danger of getting ugly, so I advised her that I would be reporting 7 Marketing to the Ministry of Justice for not acting in accordance with their terms and breaching the MOJ regs. She told me to "go ahead"!!

If you have had a bad experience with 7 Marketing, I would urge you to report them to the Ministry of Justice at the following address:

    Claims Management Regulation
    Monitoring & Compliance Unit
    57-60 High Street
    Burton-on-Trent
    Staffordshire
    DE14 1JS

7 Marketing are opportunistic and immoral - they are using their MOJ status inappropriately to take advantage of already vulnerable consumers, by milking more money out of them with the false hope of reclaiming PPI. They charge you an initial fee of anything between £99 - £199) and then keep asking for more money with stories of getting different solicitors to undertake different tasks. I now doubt that they have done any work on my case at all, as their figures were wildly off and the information that they relayed was totally wrong!!

I am sending my complaint to the MOJ on Monday morning recorded delivery. I hope that 7's inept staff will learn a valuable lesson in proper, courteous and respectful customer communications and service.

    Hello everyone!

Just to update you on my dealings with 7 Marketing: Yes, I paid them £199.99 upfront and received some cowboy-written terms and conditions, and a few forms to fill in...all written in a very unprofessional manner with typing errors, text cut off not fitting the margins, bad quality paper, etc.

This alarmed me, so I started searching - I found this and other blogs written by people who've been affected by this scam company. I contacted MoJ straight away and they advised me to claim my refund during the 14-day cooling off period - to do so in witting (recorded delivery) and leave them 14 days to reply. I did exactly that. And guess what happened? Nothing. No phone call, no letter, no refund!

I tried to call them - no answer. One day I had the pleasure to talk to their answerphone. I was prompted to leave a message and someone would get back to me within 4 hours. Oooh, guess what? No call back, no refund!

I got back to Ministry of Justice and reported them. I'll keep you updated on the outcome, and if I'm ever going to get my money back.

Thank you Shazza01 for starting this blog.

  • Hi All
I was contacted by 7 marketing and the sales person if you could call him that stated to me that I would only pay £199.99 for their services. I ask him three times if that would be the amount that they will charge, and he said that it was.
After receiving the information pack with the term & conditions + the forms, and on reading them I decided not to proceed, for the term & condition state that they would take 10% of the monies claimed and a further 10% if a solicitor would be needed, (I bet they always need a solicitor).
Well my point is if they suckered me in by stating some thing that is different and clearly not on their terms & conditions that I would only pay £199.99 to get the monies from payment protection paid to the loan company, then what other mistruths have they told me and what else is in store for the unwary? I think that they want to draw in as many suckers as possible, and surely they will make a lot of money too! (By throwing enough mud at the wall some or in there case a lot has got to stick)

I have paid MY £199.99 AS I SAID, BUT TRYING TO GET IT BACK SEEMS IMPOSSIBLE, they do not answer the phones and they say leave a message, but when you attempt to leave a message they ask for a password, which I have not been given, I returned the Pack with a covering letter stating why I do not want to proceed, I have returned them like they said and still they do not ring or get in touch with me, I have recourse too them by a solicitor, but that would cost me even more money, I don't like to kiss good bye to my £199.99, but there seems to be no other way forwards which would not cost me to get back my own money. They probably will say that they have never received back that pack, I just posted it back to them in there reply envelope and did not record it (silly I know); if they are A honest company I would have had a response by now and my money back. They 7 Marketing up till now have not done anything for the monies received from me

I don't think they are honest, but that is only because I have received nothing from them, and guess that I never will?

  • Hi I'm trying to get in touch with 7 marketing to get their terms and conditions, is there a web address for them? I've phoned them & no answer plus wrote to them no reply!
Is there anything legally going on against them?
  • perhaps this firm should be outed on watchdog
    :money:
  • i'm pretty sure there is something going on with sevenclaims. their website sevenclaims.co.uk has been down and no answer on their phones...i have been trying for a couple of days and just get the voice message:

"the office is now closed...please call back between 10am-5pm"....but it IS in those hours when im calling!

something very fishy....not happy especially as i have parted with 199 + an extra 120 to get hold of my statements etc...

im about to log a complaint with the claims management regulation.
  • You absolutely CAN get your money back from them - I did and also got £100 compensation for the appauling way that they dealt with me.

I complained directly to the MOJ and cc'd them into this letter. It took 3 weeks and I got a very lame response back from 7 Marketing along with a refund chq.

DO NOT TAKE THEIR CRAP - OR ANY OTHER DODGY "CLAIMS MANAGEMENT" COMPANIES FOR THAT MATTER!!!

If they are not working for you - complain to the MOJ. Its the only way that these cowboys can be kicked into touch.

    Good luck!
