I am been scammed this way to. Eventually got to speak to someone on the phone who said I do not have to pay it nor return it. I do not trust this though. I am emailling them now as a backup. This is totally disgusting and something should be done. I think I might email MSE Martin to see what he suggests.

Evening All - Guess what I tripped over when I got home from work this evening - a box and inside it was a Book and a "Welcome to Mango" book club..... One small question why would a 33 year old bloke sign up to a Womans book club (come to think about it - please don't answer that )

This bunch of "honourable" clubs are all part of the BCA Book clubs - doing a Google search on Mango book club & unsolicited brings up a lot of hits - it appears to be an ongoing problem with their clubs.

Believe me I will be calling them tomorrow - and following it up with an email and a recorded letter informing them the goods were unsolicited and they await their collection.

I sent them a strongly worded email earlier this evening and have had a reply that my "account" has been closed. I am still skeptical though and really want to return the crap book they sent me. I don't see why I should pay for the postage though. I don't know if there is any way to send it back for free?

Not really for a parcel, if it would fit in an enevelope just post it back without a stamp.

I got one of these last night (turned up in a messed up box at 7pm ). They dont even have my last name just the letter H and not my full address which made me a bit suss before I had even opened the box.
Im completely mad that my details have been sold on, I haven’t ordered any freebees of late (last one was the clicker from Lynx). Has anyone looked into where it has come from?
Out of curiosity did anyone else get ‘Making your mind up’?

Yes, I got making your mind up - not worth the paper it's printed on. They had my Title wrong too (or my wife's rather) they had her as a Ms. not Mrs. The weird thing is, although I have been doing a lot of competitions and freebies etc lately, I have done it all in my name not the wife's - I don't know where the hell they got her details from. It really annoys doesn't it - especially when you consider the security implications.

Well ive just send my email and ive asked where my details were brought from but I doubt they’ll tell me. This is the first time i've received any unsolicited mail, it is rather annoying as i'm trying to sort out my tax return.
I notice that the ‘Help’ on myclubonline doesn’t have anything about unsolicited mail which says rather a lot :rolleyes:

My guess is that they're dealing with more than a few emails and calls this morning.

Answered after 5 mins......not bad - better than I thought
