I don't think you should accept this.
Under the Property Ombudsman's and the OFT's own rules, http://www.tpos.co.uk/downloads/IES02_code%20of%20practice_sales_FINAL.pdf, they cannot do this.
I would print a copy out, and refer them to section 6c of the code, and demand your £110 back within 28 days in compensation for their discriminatory behaviour. If they refuse to refund you (which I would imagine would be the case), then you can take them to the Small Claims Court.
You may want to wait until you have completed, until you do this.0 -
We have gone SSTC today after accepting an offer. Wont believe it till exchange but at least we can start viewing houses for our move now. Phew, what a stressful experience selling is compared to buying as a FTB.0

well i'm glad things are all going so well for so many of you this week.
I am still here, still unsold, person who did second viewing on friday decided it was too far from their kids school, had a viewing last night which was a couple completely disinterested got another one in ten minutes....please buy my house someone!:rotfl:

rang EA back today and she said potential viewer was thinking about it as we arent chain free so told her we definately could be not a problem. havent asked my parents yet mind lol better ring them dont want to just turn up on there doorstep with a suitcase lol. im hoping not many people will be able to do chain free we are already the cheapest compareable house in the area so not much else we can do. im going to cheack out storage costs anyway because its good to know incase someone else asks. good luck everyone else and dont get too stressed about how long youv been on the market we have been selling for 21mnths now SSTC after 1 week with buyer pulling out 2 days before exchange 2 price drops later the EA are at a loss as to why we havent sold i just keep thinking its not meant to be yet.:coffee:i find a cup of tea can solve most problems:coffee:

Hello Guys,
Buyer has apparently returned all forms to their soliceter, but getting nervous as not heard anything from their soliceters as yet:eek:
Meanwhile I have found a rental and cant wait to be in, and hope it comes good.
DH has telephone interview today for a job that is fairly local, which would be fab, although its a substantial pay cut form what he was earning before, tomorrow is a nerve wracking day as we are taking his former employers to tribunial, yikes!Pawpurrs x0 -
