I saw my EA walking along the High Street yesterday, so at least I know he is still alive.

:D I love it! I know exactly how you feel.

I rang our EA this morning, and to say she couldn't get me off the phone quick enough was an understatement. Each time there was a hint of a break in the conversation, she actually said 'OK, thanks for ringing....' before I cut her off to talk to her about what I'd rang to say to her.

I was on the phone for approx three minutes to her. If she'd had her way, she'd have ended the call after 30 seconds.

It's quite scary what this whole selling house process does to us, isn't it?

I don't know about ours, I haven't spoken to them for at least 3 weeks, I really can't be bothered anymore, so at least we're agreed on something... :D

    Congratulations Vet....

Can you refresh my memory how long were you on the market for?

We went on the market in March, so it has taken 5 months in all. Not too bad I know compared to some people, but this is quite a sought after area.

Yay, so pleased for you! :jDo you know when you are completing?

We are completing next Friday, so we are desperately packing and chucking out 22 years of accumulated stuff. It is amazing how much stuff you end up with. :o Years of, "I'll just put that in the attic or the garage" come back to haunt you when you need to move.

Congrats Vet8, bakerp and kittie, so good to hear of exchanges and completions!!! :j

I am STILL waiting to exchange, and keep hearing that a local search or two are outstanding from FTB's end at bottom of chain, buying our buyers property. It's been months/weeks and they are faffing about. We were meant to exchange by now, and they should have given us at least 3 weeks between exchange and completion but it seems unlikely now, as we need to be in by the end of Aug and at this rate we won't even be exchanged by then :(

Don't want to tick my solicitor off who is duly chasing and giving me updates, but there's nothing to report as the other sols just don't seem to have the same sense of urgency, plus my EA is on hol this week and can't chase for me...grrrr!

    And breaaathhee!
